About Dr. Whitney Nieland
Whitney Nieland, DO, is a dedicated and compassionate OBGYN who is committed to delivering exceptional care to all of her patients, and enjoys caring for women in all phases of life. Dr. Nieland’s foundational training in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, MI. During her residency, she distinguished herself as the Chief Resident and was peer-selected as the GMEC Resident Representative. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Dr. Nieland is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) since 2018 and the National Society of ACOOG since 2017, reflecting her ongoing commitment to staying current in her field and contributing to the professional community. Dr. Nieland is from Crystal River, Florida. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys traveling, exercising, hiking, and boating, reflecting her love for adventure and the outdoors.

I really enjoyed my first appointment with Dr. Whitney Nieland. She was professional yet very personable, I felt comfortable talking to her. Dr. Nieland was a breath of fresh air. I was nervous heading into my appointment due to ongoing issues I’ve been having and seeing a new doctor overall but she put my mind at ease with how comfortable she made me feel. I would highly recommend anyone choosing Dr. Nieland as their OBGYN.

These guys are freaking phenomenal! I VERY rarely go to the doctor (I am horrible about it and I also get extremely nervous about it) but I actually needed to go and get some things checked out so I chose this doctor based on reviews on Zocdoc. They were 100% true. Literally from the moment the billing person called me pre-appointment to the moment I walked out of the building, everyone was so incredibly kind, understanding, and patient. Dr. Nieland is fantastic. She made me feel as much at ease as I can, was entirely nonjudgmental about my lack of regular exams (while also giving me a non-stressed “you should do this” because she knew I knew I was wrong), and was very “this is what is wrong and this is what we can do to start fixing it today,” which I appreciate immensely. The nurses and other staff are equally as kind and comforting. I may live 120 miles away, but I will be using them from now on.

I am absolutely floored by my oh so positive experience with Dr Nieland and her staff - could not ask for more. My appointment was at 9:30 - I was called in at 9:30!!! No waiting. Gentle physical examination with explanations of each procedure.
Dr listened to my complaints and offered several solutions.
Staff was friendly and competent. I highly recommend Dr Nieland.

I’m not one to write doctor reviews, but I felt the need to race to get this in. Hear me out.
Dr. Whitney Nieland makes you feel immediately heard and seen with zero judgements. She makes you laugh and makes talking about your health not so scary. You think that’s what all doctors do, but we all know that’s not the case.
Going through changes can be hard and embarrassing, but she made it light hearted and gave me a very clear step-by-step plan, so I can get back to being me again. After years of uncertainty and several doctors not taking me seriously, I feel like finally there’s a plan. I’m kind of excited to go back to the doctors. I never thought those words would come out of my mouth.
On top of all that, I was a new patient and I didn’t have to wait long to get an appointment. If you are looking for a new OBGYN doctor or just frustrated about your current experience, Dr. Whitney Nieland 100% should be the one you go to.
