Dr. Sarafzadeh earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by a Master of Science in Physiology from Georgetown University. She completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington, DC, one of the nation's premier medical institutions. Her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, a high-volume urban hospital with the greatest number of deliveries per year in New York State and a designated referral center for high-risk pregnancies with a Level III NICU.

Dr. Sarafzadeh's expertise encompasses comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care with particular proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Her surgical experience includes serving as primary surgeon and assistant in procedures such as hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, and laparoscopies, utilizing both traditional operative and minimally invasive approaches.
