Dr. Helen Tzanetakos wants the world to see you as clearly as you'll see the world. Her best tip for your eyes? Computers cause most contact lens wearers dryness and discomfort. Get your eyes checked every year to make sure you have the best contacts or glasses for the job.
Dr. Helen has been at Vision Boutique since the spring of 2009. She is a specialist in the management of ocular disease and hard-to-fit contact lenses, and continues to be praised by patients and peers alike for her caring demeanor and compassion.
Dr. Helen is a lifelong Chicago area resident and graduate of Loyola University of Chicago. There she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minor degrees in Biology and Chemistry. She went on to attain her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry after diverse training at externships across the country and abroad. At the prestigious Gordon/Binder Vision Institute in San Diego, CA, Dr. Helen was involved in the co-management of LASIK and PRK patients as well as advanced contact lens fitting. She also participated in a working exchange program to practice primary care optometry at the Victorian College of Optometry in Melbourne, Australia.
From advanced surgical management to complete primary vision correction, Dr. Helen has provided eye care in a variety of settings. Her ability to utilize all facets of her expertise remains to be the reason patients seek out her care for themselves and their family. It's her ability to connect with patients and to form lasting relationships that she finds most rewarding as a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Helen welcomes all new and returning patients to Vision Boutique and cherishes caring for their vision now and in the future.

Never having glasses before, I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Helen and Z were very patient and explained everything as it was happening. Both took time to help pick out frames (we amassed a pile). Felt very comfortable and was not rushed. Would recommend.
I appreciated the quantity of information shared with me by both Dr. T and Z (I think he's the owner who runs the front of house). After being with over 3 optometrists in the last 7 years, I hope to keep this one.
