About Dr. Jesse Fertig
Dr. Jesse Fertig, a native New Yorker, attended Washington University in St. Louis and graduated with a degree in Art History. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2001 and has worked as an optometrist in Texas, Illinois, and New York. Dr. Fertig spent three years working at SEE on the Upper West Side and now splits his time between the Cobble Hill and Williamsburg locations. He works with patients of all ages and is known for his thorough exams and patience. Dr. Fertig enjoys running, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and trying the various pizza restaurants of Brooklyn.

Dr. Fertig is hands down one of the best doctors I have been to. He takes his time to talk you through everything and discuss anything and everything about your eyes. I usually dislike eye exams, but it was fast but informative and I never once felt rushed or like a question/concern wasn't appreciated. I have always had trouble putting in contacts, so I nonchalantly said, "You might want to go do something else because I may take a while to put these in." Instead of just saying "take your time," he took his time to talk me through the process that I have unknowingly done incorrectly for 15 years. He is the perfect mix of being helpful, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to.

Dr. Fertig is an excellent doctor. He has been my regular optometrist for the past 2 years, and is always thorough and takes the time to answer all of my questions. I recently went in after I experienced a random eye trauma, and I was able to quickly and easily get an appointment with Dr. Fertig. He answered all of my questions about my eye injury, and gave me a thoughtful treatment plan. Highly recommend!

Dr Fertig is an excellent specialist who made me feel very much at ease during the eye exam. He was sensitive to my specific issue with different vision correction techniques and helped me figure out an option that would work for me. Overall, his warm presence and calm and sensitive approach to patients made the eye exam fly by wthout a hitch.

I am a physician and I had an excellent experience with Dr. Fertig. My prescription for my glasses and my contact lenses was much improved. I appreciated the time that he took to answer my questions about my change in my contact lenses as well as my transition to progressive lenses for the first time . He is excellent optometrist and I highly recommend him.
