Dr. Karen Thornton MD

Dr. Thornton was amazing and definitely worth seeing!

She is amazing! Funny, down to earth, sensitive and very knowledgeable of her field and current trends/health reports. Thumbs up!

Dr. Thornton is my regular DR and there's a reason I keep going back. She is very thorough and listens well, but doesn't waste time. I definitely recommend her!

I was a little skeptical about to see a new doctor but when she came into the room I felt a good relieve , she as very nice, she took her time with me that's what matters in a Doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Thornton.

Doctor was very friendly and professional. Appointment definitely took longer than I was expecting, however. I arrived at 3.30pm, and spent about half an hour filling out the "new patient" form on a touchscreen. I then waited another 15 minutes before I saw someone (who I assume was one of the other doctors there) who took my blood pressure and such. He took me into another room where I waited for about half an hour before Dr Thornton arrived. I saw her for 5 minutes or so, then she sent me out to the waiting room while she wrote my scripts. So all in all, it took well over an hour and a half to see the doctor for a minor ailment. I would therefore definitely recommend that you arrive early if you are a new patient at this surgery. That being said, the nurse did mention that there were quite a few new patients that day, and it was right before Christmas, so perhaps this is not a normal wait time for this surgery!

The doctor was had a great bedside manner. I actually recommended her to my co-worker upon my return to work.

My visit with Karen Thornton was extremely pleasant. She was welcoming, friendly, insightful and very attentive.

I had to wait a bit because I was a new patient and had to fill out a lot of paperwork, but it was all done electronically, which was really cool and made that process less painful. As an actor, I like the idea of a doctor who caters to and understands that community. Everyone in the office is so nice and there's Broadway posters all over the place, so I was the happiest.

LOVE HER EVERY TIME! This Dr. has changed my life around, I am a much better,healthier, and happier person because of her!

I thought she was great! Very personable and took the time to get to know me.

I love Dr. THornton, she always asks what show I am in, or what has been up or about my partner whom she has never met. She smiles, laughs and jokes in what can be some uncomfortable medical situations to lighten the mood or your worries. You give her a smile and a laugh and she will give you ten back!

This was my second time seeing her and the experience was great! I saw her for my annual physical and I felt like she took the time to see me and answer my questions, which is often hard to come by. My only complaint would have to be the long wait in her office. If she could cut the wait time down, I'd give her a perfect rating :)

She seems like a great doctor! I liked that she really took her time with me, even though I was only seeing her for a cold. She was very nice, and you can tell she truly loves her job.

Quick and friendly from start to finish. This was my first visit and all paperwork was done digitally on an easy to use touch pad. Karen and her staff were all very approachable and made small talk, were able and willing to answer all my questions. By far my best experience at a doctor's office, even though I will say I haven't been to many.. I'm used to going to public clinics.

I really enjoy Dr. Thornton. ALthought it can take a while to see her, there are always appointments available and when she does see you, the experience is great. Dr.Thornton also sent me two studies in the mail for a chronic conditin I have. I was really impressed that her office did this, above and beyond my regular appointments. I highly recommend her!

Dr. was friendly once she finally slowed down to focus on me and my needs. There was a pharm sales rep trying to sell her something right outside my door which I could hear for about 3 minutes while I sat and waited in the room, this added to my wait time to see the Dr., about 25 minutes before I got started. Her nurse was very nice but at times it was awkward. My appointment ended with blood work that hopefully is timely. Left the patient room and headed to the front desk and stood there for a good 1 or two min with no greeting or conversation from the lady at the desk, whom was not doing much of anything, to let me know that I was all set. I finally spoke up and asked if I was done. "Yes just wait for your results, will call you." Overall satisfactory, but I will give this Dr. a go one more time because she seems nice and efficient.

Nice doctor but it took almost an hour for someone to see me

I initially made the appointment through random selection based on who took my insurance. Based on all the physicians i have seen in the past, i only half expected her to be half decent, but she was AWESOME! I definitely recommend her as she has the coolest personality of all the docs I have met so far in the city. Friendly staff too. The wait was a bit annoying, buts expected with 99% of doc offices anywhere.

I waited 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor. During that time she was standing in front of me, doing paperwork, trying to make photo copies and yelling at her staff about mundane things (why are you using that phone when you have this one? why didn't you fax that? why are you doing this that way? etc). I was embarrassed for her and felt bad for her staff who were very nice. The actual appointment was ok - very quick, not much checking in about medical background. No opportunity to bring up any other concerns. All in all not a very "customer oriented" experience.

Dr. Thornton's manner was friendly and casual and talked to me more like a peer than as a patient to a doctor. I went as a new patient for my annual pap smear but was surprised that she didn't take a detailed sexual history, or ask me about my sexual activity at all. The gynecological exam was really quick and painless - less than 45 seconds - which I suppose is good, but I wonder how thorough it was.

I think Dr. Thornton and her staff are wonderful. They are all extremely polite and efficient. Dr. Thornton is great and easy to talk to as well as very understanding.

She was a sweetheart! Made me feel comfortable instantly!
