down to earth, takes the time to discuss thing, no feeling of being rushed. wait time was close to hour though. saw opening on zocdoc for an appointment same day, but figured i would call office- couldnt get appointment, but when i went to book at Zocdoc, they called me to confirm and got in same day.

The doctor, herself, was very nice and listened to me closely. However, I was not impressed with her staff. I went for a general physical and they couldn't even get a blood sample from me. (I've never had a problem getting blood taken before). The girl who tried must have never done it before, and I didn't appreciate being used as a pin cushion! Also, I was surprised to receive a bill in the mail a month later since I paid my co-payment in cash during the visit..I will not be returning here.

Dr. Gu is really friendly, patient and approachable. She takes her time to explain everything that's being done and the reason(s) for doing it. I felt comfortable talking to her. She knows her stuff. I've been to two previous specialists for my problem (which by the way still exists) and Dr. Gu is the only one of the three, who showed me some light at the end of the tunnel. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Freda was extremely professional, she took her time to listen to my reason for visit. She's explained all the necessary testing that will be needed in order find the right solution. Her staff was on point with everything.

I used to go to an office where I would wait 30 minutes just in the waiting room and then talk to the doctor for 5 minutes. I only had to wait the time it took to fill out my information sheet at Dr. Gu's office. This was right during lunch time, which I assume is usually a busy time, but it was relatively quiet there. Glad I made the change.

Only had one visit but really liked her--warm, easy to talk to, smart and asked good questions. Small intimate office. No strip-to-gown which was a first. Shirt off for EKG but rest of exam clothed which somehow worked fine. Thorough exam. EKG was fast and painless, lung test, blood work and many questions entered into computer. Her staff was great, office clean and nice. Good tribeca location shared with dental office. I now consider her my primary physician-- really needed one.

She was friendly and personable without being invasive. She was very professional and efficient in diagnosing my infection. The pharmacy was out of stock on one of my prescribed medication so the pharmacist called Dr. Gu up and was able to get authorization to prescribed a substitute therefore I was able to get immediate relief of my symptoms.

Dr. Gu (who introduced herself by her first name) was extremely thorough, gentle, and chill. She was firm about some lifestyle issues that I need to adjust without being patronizing or judgemental (a rarity!). also, the office is lovely and very quiet with warm friendly staff.

I love her. I think she is thorough and has a great bedside manner. She listens and is extremely knowledgeable. She's one of the best Doctors I've seen in NYC, and that's saying a lot. Doctors like her are VERY hard to come by in this city.

Dr. Gu is a gem, not only by NYC standards, but period. She is very attentive, patient, she listens and explains/shares her thoughts in an easy to understand manner. She makes herself available around the clock and tries what's best for the patient, not her bottom line. Her being on ZocDoc makes booking appointments easy and her office staff are also very friendly and helpful. I can't praise and recommend Dr. Gu and her practice enough!

Dr. Gu was very nice, but her exam rooms are not state of the art. The exam rooms lack sinks and modern exam tables. One thing that disturbs me the most was the lack of wearing gloves when touching the patients especially when drawing blood. Its not good enough just dabbing your hands with hand saniztier. You need to put gloves on. Just after seeing that I would not return to this doctor. It's just silly not to use gloves when handling bodily fluids in this day and age.

I visited Dr. Gu for an annual physical exam. She was extremely thorough, very friendly. I was seen almost immediately and her staff were also very knowledgeable. Overall, it was an excellent experience --- I will definitely go back to her in the future!

The physician is FULL service. She takes a thorough history and is very observant, giving her full attention to you. Her office staff is very courteous and her main assistant (at the front side desk) is smooth when she takes blood work. I highly recommend Dr. Gu and her team.
