Dr. Gu is very responsive, when I came to her with an issue a day before she was heading out on a holiday, she tried to answer my follow up questions over email and she was very helpful and let me know the course of actions. She documents all the issues and follows up on it. The wait time can get a little long, but she is a great doctor and is very open to answer to my questions and concerns. Highly recommend her.

She was great - very thorough and thoughtful. I liked her bedside manner, and thought that she really took the time to get to know me as a new patient. My experience with her office staff was not as pleasant. I had an appointment, a few hours prior to which they called me to inform me that the doctor had 'things to do today' and could I come in earlier in order to accommodate. They told me that there were other patients and she may just not have the time for me. I rushed my husband home to watch our son in order to go in 30 minutes early, then sat in the office waiting for her for over an hour! No apology, no acknowledgement. Not good.
Again, though, the MD herself was great - she just needs to get a handle on her staff and how they manage her office.

Overall, Dr. Gu was great as usual. The secretary, Jennifer, was really nice this time.
I was coming in for a physical with a request for a printed copy of my medical records.
Jennifer said she would look into it. Getting my medical record information was harder than expected. Never did get it. Walked away with some labs.
Received a referral to a specialist consisting of a name, phone number on an Rx slip. Wish there were something more "coordinated" to help me get to the next step. I feel a little bit on my own. Ah US healthcare...

All my family is, now, patient of this doctor.

Dr. Gu met with my 18 year old son for his physical before attending college. He was too old I believed to go to his pediatrician. Upon a thorough exam which is how Dr. Gu operates, and thank God for that, she noticed an irregular heart beat. She sent us to all the next steps we needed to do and sure enough my son had a congenital heart defect. Something the pediatrician never picked up. Dr. Gu is the reason know my son will live a full long healthy life. He had to undergo heart surgery but if she did not pay attention, which she does, he would have had a shortened life span! Don't be bothered if she seems a bit anal, isn't that what your doctor should be. She is the real thing!

Dr. Gu is the most thorough physicians I've ever been too. In this day and age of managed care Dr. Gu spends the time interviewing you and asking the pertanent questions that help guide her to a complete diagnosis. I have sent well over ten family and friends to her, and not one hasn't come away with the same experience.

The doctor and the nurse were very professional. However, there was a slight misunderstanding. I had made an appointment at 10:45am via ZocDoc, but the office had me down at 11:15. I was not seen until 11:25 or so. Not a big deal, but I had to be out by 11:40 am for another appointment, so I was a little unhappy with getting out 10-15 minutes late. The actual appointment was very efficient - only around 30 minutes for a full physical. Counting the administrative difficulties in, the total appointment took about an hour to an hour an a half.

The doctor, herself, was very nice and listened to me closely. However, I was not impressed with her staff. I went for a general physical and they couldn't even get a blood sample from me. (I've never had a problem getting blood taken before). The girl who tried must have never done it before, and I didn't appreciate being used as a pin cushion! Also, I was surprised to receive a bill in the mail a month later since I paid my co-payment in cash during the visit..I will not be returning here.

NDr. Gu was nice and knowledgeable. The nurses needed a little help in the area of figuring out which vaccines I required before traveling (they almost missed the polio vaccine), and had trouble hooking me up to the echocardiograph monitor.

I love Dr. Gu. She remembers me and actively listens to my needs and concerns as a patient. I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time, which to me, is "right away" in medical appointment wait-time. Finally, I feel reassured that all of my medical notes are recorded electronically and in plain sight during my appointment.

She was on point.... She saved my life I say. I went to her thinking that I had a lower blood sugar and not feeling my self. She took note on my pressure and felt around my tummy... to my shock I was actually bleeding internally, she rushed me to the e.r., they were waiting for me at the door and rushed me into surgery, discovered I had two intestinal bleeding ulcers, I had no symptoms ----- if it wasn't for her quick thinking, God only knows. I recommend Dr. Gu wholeheartedly.

Dr. Gu is really friendly, patient and approachable. She takes her time to explain everything that's being done and the reason(s) for doing it. I felt comfortable talking to her. She knows her stuff. I've been to two previous specialists for my problem (which by the way still exists) and Dr. Gu is the only one of the three, who showed me some light at the end of the tunnel. I highly recommend her.
