How am I billed for Sponsored Results?

Your Sponsored Results bill is a line item on your Zocdoc bill, separate from new patient booking fees.

Am I charged for Sponsored Results if the patient cancels within 24 hours?

Zocdoc will waive Marketplace booking fees for some patient cancellations in good faith. However, you will not receive a refund for Sponsored Results. Sponsored Results is an ads tool to amplify your visibility and maximize results on Zocdoc. Think of the Sponsored Results charge like a marketing cost - it is separate from the booking fee.

Am I charged for Sponsored Results if an existing patient books through a Sponsored listing?

Yes, you will be charged the Sponsored fee. However, you will not be charged the marketplace booking fee for bookings from existing patients.

Sponsored Results appear when patients search for care on Zocdoc. There are no Sponsored Results when a patient looks for a particular practice or provider to rebook with. If an existing patient books with you through Sponsored Results, it means they discovered you again through Sponsored Results as they were making a general search. Thus, Sponsored Result played a role in recapturing a patient that was open to booking with another provider.
