If we're unable to contact you, your appointment may be rescheduled.* Oscar Baker is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has 20 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from adolescent psychiatry, adult inpatient care, community mental health, and substance abuse treatment. Oscar is a graduate of Pace University where he received a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate of Graduate Study. His focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for adult clients ages 18-65. Oscar believes in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based practice. Oscar's goal for his clients is that they feel empowered to treat their illness in a supportive and stigma free environment. A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. Oscar has the pleasure of working alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians and is happy to collaborate and coordinate care with them when appropriate to the clients’ needs.
