Dr. Cooper was very professional and direct, like a lot of "bone guys" - orthopedists, which I like. What was abit off-putting was what followed regarding information regarding physical therapy and orothotics supplier recommendations, which felt like a bit of a "hard sell" for Hanger Clinics (less so regarding Medstar physical therapists). But I like the doctor, and the staff from front desk to radiologist were really great.

Dr Cooper is professional, competent and willing to listen. He examined my foot, reviewed the x-rays and made a reasoned diagnosis. He has a very active practice, which may sometimes delay him in seeing you, but the wait is worth it.For this follow-up appointment, he addressed my questions and then suggested additional treatment and insurance that would pay for it. I very much appreciate the treatment that has improved the quality of life.

The appointments were running 45 minutes behind and the front desk staff seemed very confused on when my appointment was made. They told me I made it yesterday when it was 6 days prior.

In no particular order... Dr Cooper was quick, but not rushed, and I felt that I had his complete attention during the interview and assessment. The pre-visit XR of my foot and ankle was accomplished rapidly and in a friendly manner. There was a slight delay in my paperwork being completed, but that was because there was a new employee learning the system and we've all been new; I don't view that as a negative, I'm simply being thorough. This was the first visit to a system that uses medical scribes. A medical scribe stands in the corner and transcribes what the doctor is saying so that he does not have to keep his head buried in the computer screen but can do what is crucial, ie, examine and assess while the findings are still fresh in his mind. I LIKE IT, and I speak as an RN who knows exactly how much fun EMRs are.

Dr. Cooper is not patient oriented--he flew in the door with 4-5 people in tow--did not introduce himself or the people with him so it took me a few seconds to figure out he must be the doctor--then he spoke mostlylatin terminology to the person taking notes on the computer--told me I was getting old, needed orthotics and then left--as few minutes with the patient as possible. Overall not very good. The office had no record of my original 3 PM appointment and I had to strenuously insist on an appointment for today which that occurred at 3:15 my schedule but I was not saying until after4 o'clock. It is fair to say that the appointment started off poorly and improved by the end. I will consider whether to proceed but will seek another opinion and experience first.

We had a 1:00 appointment and we were seen right away. My daughter had a sprained ankle that was not healing. Dr. Cooper explained everything in simple terms. He was even quite humorous. There was a question on the MRI andinstead of dismissing it, he called the MRI department and asked them to look at a particular view on the MRI. It was also very convenient to be able to be fitted for an ankle brace right there without taking another trip. He is not rushing to surgery but gave us several non-surgical options to try first.

Dr. Cooper was professional, thorough, and efficient. While it felt a bit as if I were on an assembly line, I enjoyed the fact that the ankle center is a "one-stop-shop."

I was not sure of what to expect with my visit because it was my first visit. The doctor was very thorough and made me feel comfortable with my treatments. I would recommend others to go to him. My downfall isthat I was not prepared for the length of time spent in the office waiting to be seen. But overall I am glad that I went for the results were better then what I was expecting thanks to the thoroughness I received. Thank you all for your caring professionalism that I received.

I think he is very accomplished and probably a very good surgeon. His bedside manner is alright but nothing to write home about. He is arrogant and that is very evident but that could be the surgeon personality.

I have been very frustrated by my old orthopedist with the lack of action and the 'wait and see' method. I broke my ankle December of 2016 and the bone has not healed. I waited too long but on the firstvisit to Dr. Cooper we have a plan of action, which doesn't include waiting to see. I am excited to be working with a doctor that is competent and ready for action.

I was made to wait over an hour from my scheduled appointment time for 6 minutes of this man's time. He did not bother to read the chart, seemed to have a decision regarding treatment before he even introduced himself, wait- he never introduced himself.

WOW, We loved him...very personable and not the stick in the mud professional ..I really like it when Doctors talk to you like real people. He said all the right things and encouraged us that he can solve the problem. Sitting inhis office with a Supreme Court Justice did a lot to bolster his brand too! We are looking forward to being remobilized..

It was awful. There was a traffic jam in the parking lot. It took me 20 minutes to find parking. When I called the front desk, no one answered (or returned my call). Once I got to the office, I hadto wait 90 minutes and only saw the doctor for 10 minutes. And the receptionists left at 4, so there was no one to checkout patients or book follow ups (not that I'm ever going back...)

Very integrated team approach by the office staff, radiology, Physical therapy, Nascott and the medical team. No confusion over the plan, very clear Dr, Cooper was the team leader supported by the team. Would definitely recommend this MD and office to others.

I went for an issue with foot pain. First I saw a resident, then Dr Cooper. The resident was very thorough and I assume briefed Dr Cooper, so his visit seemed a little rushed. I was satisfied with him, but decidedto book a 2nd opinion appointment after reading some other online reviews.
