“OK, my appointment was with Dr. David Mendelson, not with a PA.
When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was informed that Dr. David was running 1 hour behind schedule and that I could not leave the office to listen to the radio in my car or I would lose my appointment. Eventually I was seen by Spencer the PA who was excellent. Two suggestions, next time just book me with a PA and secondly, it would be a courtesy if Dr. David would just say "hello", I am a long-time patient and I think I have earned a simple hello. Let me know what you think. Otherwise, I will quit filling out these reviews. Thank you, Conrad Schwartz”

About Dr. David Mendelson

Dr. David H. Mendelson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who completed his undergraduate and medical school training at Wayne State University. After medical school, Dr. David interned at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit before completing his residency through the Northwest Detroit Affiliates program and Shriner’s Hospital in Pennsylvania. He is the former Chief of the Section of Orthopedics at both St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital and St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren and has been voted many times by southeast Michigan’s medical professionals as an Hour Detroit magazine “Top Doc” in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. David practices general orthopedics in both our Livonia and Warren office and he is on staff at both St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital and St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren.

I arrived, and initially was disappointed the Dr. was not there. I was told, that I was to see a PA. I started to cancel, and reschedule because, I was expecting to see the doctor not a PA. I stayed anyway, and the PA it turns out, was great. So I was happy with my visit.

Te receptionists were unprofessional. I had to stand there for a few minutes before they addressed me while they were in a personal conversation. The young ladies seemed irritated that I interrupted their conversation. And no greeting, " your name" was asked by one of them.

It’s really refreshing to see a Doctor Who was polite knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Dr. Mendelson was very thorough during my visit. I would highly recommend Dr. Mendelson for anyone with any orthopedic issues!

Dr. David is attentive, thorough, and caring. He is quite knowledgeable and connects well with his patients and their needs. I've had no complications from his surgeries and respond well to treatment. Making appointments can easily be done on line or by phone. I feel safe and respected.

I highly recommend the facility, Dr David and his very assistant Spencer. I did not see Dr David at this appointment I saw Spencer and I was pleased with the entire appointment process. They DO CARE!
