My observations are directed to Dr. Steven Acker, but relate to the physician who attended me in his place (Dr. Britney Miller). I had scheduled an appointment, received a call to reschedule, and when I arrived, she was the one who attended me. In a hurry, she said she had sent the prescription for pain relief medication and an ointment. When I got to the pharmacy, only the ointment was available. I called the office, and they said that was all she had prescribed. I had to return to the clinic, which is 30 minutes away. When I arrived, I asked her to prescribe the correct medication. She didn't speak to me and only said she would send it. At the pharmacy, she prescribed a medication that did not contain steroids, which was different from what Dr. Steven had recommended. Overall, it was a very bad experience, and I am still without my medication.
Friendly. Explains everything clearly.
First visit, was offered many solutions to try!

It was smooth appointment chatting with him where he listened to what happened with me and what I needed to do to recover and then do follow up. I would attend to him again.
My appointment was 315 today. I showed up at 3. Preliminary paperwork. I was called almost immediately for X-rays. They put me into room C2. I sat there for an hour. Finally got up to question the long delay. All other waiting rooms were empty. I asked different personnel what was happening. Not one had an answer. I left at 4:45. This was my first and last appointment at mendelson or with Dr. Acker. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible experience

His experience and expertise was clear and I was so pleased he was able to immediately provide me relief with a simple procedure right then and there
Verified patient
He was friendly, honest, and attentive

Dr. Acker was vert kind and explained everything. When he said he hoped not to see me again it meant he was hoping just the cortisone shot would help which is great because he did not mention or push surgery. Just a wait and see approach, and a timeline of next step if the shot did not help. I was very pleased with him.

Had a 330 pm appointment. Didn't get taken back until 435pm. Had another appointment scheduled for today that I had to cancel due to office running late. Doctor is helpful and listens the your concerns.

Verified patient
Just the best orthopedic surgeon I know of, especially knees and hips. Handles elderly patience with kindness and consideration.
Verified patient
My first appointment with Dr Acker went wonderfully. He took the time to explain my x-rays and to inform me what was going on with my hip. His staff is amazing I just wish I could have got some relief from the pain I'm experiencing. But these things take time I'm looking forward to my next visit. I would recommend him he's a very kind and knowledgeable Dr.
