Gerardo A. San Roman, MD, is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. San Roman specializes in office-based gynecology, including contraception counseling, menstrual disorders, menopausal care, and gynecologic consultations. Dr. San Roman received his undergraduate degree at Adelphi University and attended medical school at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology Internship and Residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. San Roman is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, a Fellow in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and a member of the New York State Medical Society, Suffolk County Medical Society, and Suffolk County Obstetrics & Gynecology Society. He has served in the past as Director of the Department of OB/GYN at St. Charles Hospital and as President of the Medical Staff at St. Charles Hospital. In addition, Dr. San Roman is a Clinical Instructor at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. San Roman is fluent in English and Spanish and is conversant in Portuguese. He has been selected as one of the “Top Doctors in the NY Metro Area” by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. for over 18 years and has been listed as one of Newsday’s "Top Doctors" since 2010.
