I can definitely confirm that he’s an excellent mental health provider. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety. He knew how to approach my situation and made me feel calm and helped me take one step at a time. He was always available and super caring when I had questions or other concerns. The questions felt redundant and borderline inappropriate. Not to mention they were repeated so I don’t know if he wasn’t listening? I’ve had first visits with psychiatrist, and this was by far the most unprofessional. I am used to that social and medical history questions that can feel personal, but this was just bizarre. Further, I’ve been recovery for years and referred to myself as an addict and he told me that I wasn’t and to just say that I used to have a problem instead. This is dangerous language for people in recovery it’s detrimental to sobriety, it’s dismissive and really unprofessional from any psychiatric perspective.
