John A. Knapp, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1987 and completed his residency in 1991 through Wayne State University Affiliated Hospitals, Detroit Medical Center. Since 1993, he is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and holds privileges at Ascension St. John Hospital, Detroit; Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe; and Henry Ford Cottage, Grosse Pointe. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at WSU School of Medicine.

I love Dr Knapp! Unfortunately, having to go through a third party to book an appointment is off putting. I prefer to speak to a human when making my appointment. Dr Knapp is a wonderful doc whom I have been going to for almost 30 yrs. but he doesn’t seem to give as much attention during our visits as he used to. I feel like he is over booked and over worked lately. Also, I prefer to go to the office closest to me, that is literally around the corner from my house. It seems impossible to get an appointment there and I truly hate going to the one in St Clair Shores. The office personnel are eating food and speaking with their mouths full and it’s completely unprofessional.

As always my experience was great at Eastside Gynecology. I love the Roseville office! The whole staff is fantastic!
Dr Knapp has taken care of my needs for many years. He always take time to listen and respond to my quandary concerns!
Have recommended him and this office to many. And now, it is truly a complete Women’s Care office with tests and 3D mammograms under one roof! Awesome!

Dr. Knapp was great! He made me comfortable and we all know the annual Gyno can be awkward. He is a great communicator, sat down and chatted and talked me through the exam and gave me some great information. The wait was terrible over an hour but I’m happy to have found a provider who listens and seems to care.

Getting a Pap smear is not the most exciting thing for women- but Dr.Knapp has a great bedside manner and makes the appointment very quick and painless, yet is extremely thorough. Highly recommend.
