Dr. Anthony Ng MD

Since first going to see Dr. Ng for a consultation after finding him on ZocDoc, I have had an endoscopy and colonoscopy performed by him. I haven't spent a lot of time one on one with him, but he really put me at ease and I was able to trust him to do these two procedures that really scared me. His Physician Assistants are the ones I have spent the most time with and Jeanie Mak is the BEST. The one problem I have is with the office staff. Sometimes there is a problem communicating with them on the phone as English is not the first language of most of the front office staff. They're really good and call to check after your procedure, but if there's a problem, you may want to ask for someone else to talk to.

Dr. Ng is very friendly, attentive, and communicates clearly and precisely. He spent a great deal of time and attention on me and I would recommend him to anyone. But I imagine a lot of ZocDoc users may suffer a bit of culture shock from his practice, which seemed tailored mostly toward stomach cancer issues that are much more common in Chinese populations. Although he is a native English speaker and studied medicine in New York, his receptionist and staff are not native speakers and I was very limited in communicating with the technicians at the lab in his building. My only suggestion would be to hire a more bilingual staff if he wants to grow his practice outside of Chinese community. Of course there is also great need for his services in the surrounded community so there is no need to do so.

I got personalized care at Dr. Ng's. Dr. Ng and his staff were very professional and thorough and I was very pleased with the service. Highly recommended!
