Excellent, He was my doctor about 10 years ago and because of a change in insurance I had to go with another Doctor. I'm glad to be back with him again with my new insurance.

I like Dr. Kaegi because i feel like he is the psych i have been looking for. His approaches to psychiatry I believe, are most beneficial for patients. He does not overprescribe me -- or prescribe me things that i do not need that have highly addictive properties (other doctors have done this). In addition he helped me question my previous diagnoses and discussed how some of my exercise activities may be harmful combined with medication.

Dr.Kaegi is a very professional and highly respected Psychiatrist by his fellow Dr.'s across the Chicago area,... as well as his clients who can get the help they need with the proper guidance and experience that this Dr. has. I am very grateful to have him as my psych Dr. and am confident in his position in treating my anxiety etc.

He's great. Always prescribes medicines based on the condition and side effects concerns meaning he doesn't prescribe medicines that causes serious side effects, it's usually with less serious side effects. He does his best to find a med that will work.

It's sounds obvious but, I had numerous doctors show they would rather be anywhere but, with their patients. I noticed right away doctor Kaeigi he seems to have a honest care for his patience, he asks a lot of questions that shows he cares. He is a great doctor !

I really enjoy Dr. Kaegi. He is right to the point. I get in and get out. He works with my annoying express script polices and my prescriptions are ready for pick up by the time I get to CVS. I will continue to go to Dr. Kaegi.

Dr. Kaegi is experienced and his office environment is pleasant. He himself, however, is not pleasant. On the first visit he actually smiled once and tried to pretend to care and appreciate my visit, but after that - on my subsequent visits he became more and more disinterested and on one visit even rude. He is running a business not a practice. Almost no eye contact. Rush in, Rush out. He interrupted me with such condescension that it was clear he had not genuine care for my situation. My guess is that his carrier is about money and ego. I wish the best for him and hope he cheers up (maybe he needs anti-depressants?), but more importantly I wish the best for all his patients who (like everyone - sick or healthy) deserves common courtesy and basic respect. Finally, as has been stated in other posts - HIS REVIEWS ARE OBVIOUSLY BOGUS - NO ONE HAS THIS MANY REVIEWS - THE ILLINOIS STATE MEDICAL ETHICS BOARD SHOULD INVESTIGATE HIM HIRING SOMEONE TO POST FALSE FLATTERING REVIEWS.

Dr. Kaegi was very helpful, but unlike my last psych he mostly focused on medication and physical/emotional symptoms. I like to have at least some time to suss out current problems/issues, especially since I can't afford seeing a separate therapist. He did give me low-cost therapy references and very honest explanations of different medication options. He also sent my prescription through the computer to my pharmacy, which was really convenient, and offered all forms of payment, and also takes insurance!

I'm writing only because I read the reviews for Dr Kaegi, and they are obviously phony reviews. Seriously, all those glowing reviews? Kind of sleezy if you ask me. Dr Kaegi has an appalling, prickly bedside manner, spent the entire appointment looking at his computer screen, and on the follow up appointment, didn't have ANY recollection of our previous meeting and discussion. Look at it for what it is-an inexpensive way to get your psych meds, but don't expect ANYTHING like interest, involvement, or engagement. This is a business, period.

He has 55 reviews on his site within 3 months? I call bs. I've seen Dr. Kaegi for maybe 5 years now, so I consider myself an expert. He rarely remembers my information, he asks very few questions, and never any follow-ups, he's pretty uninterested in how I'm feeling- in short, he's a bad therapist. But I only go to him for refills, which he will only give to me 6 months at a time. I'm writing this because after waiting a week for a refill that I needed pretty badly, he called to let me know it had been sent in four days ago and he had just neglected to tell me. I take generic Celexa, and not having my medication for a few days isn't good- with stronger doses of stronger drugs, people commit suicide. I don't take a particularly large dose, so i was relatively okay, but the inconsiderate attitude of Dr. Kaegi just reached a tipping point. Will I still go to him? Probably. But only out of convience, not because he's anything but mediocre

I trust his opinion and like the fact that he does not give drugs only if needed

Mediocre at best. Saw him two times, seemed distant and uninterested both times, not remembering who I was the second. I would see him out of convenience if you know what you need, but for anything else, I'd look elsewhere. Also, having 120~ reviews in such a short period of time with really repetitive, terse comments is very suspicious. I hope Zocdoc does something to fix it, as it is really misleading.

He was very informative about my options and did not pressure me into trying something; rather, he allowed me to direct my treatment with his guidance. I never felt so unloved in my life! When i went in to see Dr. Kaegi, all he did was ask me a list of questions, mind you not even looking at me AND texting on his phone at the same time. while he was asking me the questions i actually started crying because im that depressed and he showed no remorse. he just wrote me a prescription that i did not pick up and told me as i was walking out the door "I'll call you if your insurance doesn't go through"

Dr. Kaegi is always on time. I do not feel rushed when I am with him. I also feel he is thinking my care as an individual situation with unique solutions.

He rushed me out his office and didn't really care to here about my past history or other medical issues nor did he ask what medications I was on. He didn't seem to be concerned about what I felt and what I was looking for to get "fixed". When I told him that my insurance didn't cover brand name medication and that I needed generic medications he looked offended. He said he usually doesn't prescribe medications that have a generic kind. So in short I will not be going back to him.
