Dr. Kaegi is very prompt and professional. He doesn’t waste any time and is very knowledgeable in his field. I feel most comfortable with psychiatrists who have decades of working experience and use a clinical approach over doctors who try to be your friend.

There is no receptionist in waiting area. Just two doors for two different doctors, so no worries if you are waiting alone. It was nice, clean , and comfortable. He has a gentle energy and I didn’t feel judged or rushedfor time. Glad I decided to switch my Dr for him!

I went to Dr. Kaegi for a med management consult since I got a job and my old psych didn't take my insurance. Dr. Kaegi has no bedside manner whatsoever. He was on his computer the entire time and was veryjudgmental of the meds I took. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a psychiatrist.

My appointment with Dr Kaegi was awful. He is the worst psychiatrist I have ever seen. He was insistent on changing my meds after I told him I’m doing very well on them. I took from the visit that he isfrightened to prescribe any meds. He accused me of abusing one of my meds which I only take as prescribed. He told me he “assumes everyone does until he gets to know them.” I told him I don’t enjoy having to take meds. In fact I wished I didn’t have to at all. He even has signs in his office warning he doesn’t refill prescriptions without a meeting with him. This man knows zero about me other than a few questions such as how tall are you and how much do you weigh? Because of Dr Kaegi’s snap judgement after 10 minutes of seeing him, plus his arrogant demeanor, I will be seeking help elsewhere and I cannot recommend him to anyone.

He did not bother to introduce himself when I walked into the office. All he did was look at his computer and ask questions about my past medical history, and have me fill out two brief questionnaires, at which point heclearly had me figured out. Not once did he ask how I was feeling and didn't bother to even look at me throughout the time I spent there. He was extremely unprofessional, unkind, and condescending. I have never felt so uncomfortable and so unwelcome as I did there. He made me feel as if I was inconveniencing him by being there. The only reason I even went to see him is because I just moved here from NY and can no longer see my doctor there. When I asked to be placed on the same medications that my doctor had me on, he refused. Apparently he has a moral issue with prescribing xanax, even though I have been on that particular medication on and off for years. He insisted on only placing me on medications which I have taken in the past, after explaining that they either did not work for me or made my condition worse. In the 14 years since my diagnosis, i've tried it all and know what works for me. Anyone with psychiatric issues knows how much you have to sacrifice of yourself over and over again, just to see if the right combination of meds you're taking will even work for you. As soon as I told him the last combination of meds that I was on, his exact words were "well then I guess I can't help you". Not something you want to hear when you're reaching out for help for mental health issues. It's no wonder a lot of people don't even attempt to seek help; because of insensitive people such as him. I am struggling to understand the positive reviews on here, because my experience could not have been and more awful. If you actually care about your mental health, please do not waste your time or energy on this so called professional

This was my third appointment with Dr. Kaegi and I still have no complaints. I've read reviews that say he isn't friendly and I don't feel that way at all. He is very professional. He doesn't talk a lot, he listens. He does a great job of taking what I tell him into account and adjusting my prescription to my specific needs. He's a psychiatrist not a therapist. I don't go there to chat, I go to there to get his professional medical diagnosis and treatment. My appointments are always around 15 min and I have never waited more than 10 min to see him. He even suggested an app to help me quit smoking and that's not even what I was seeing him about. I would highly recommend him and will definitely continue to see him myself.

Dr Kaegi only deals with prescribing medication for patients. I incorrectly thought he could provided me with therapy as well but he was quick to correct me. He was helpful in finding me an alternative therapist.
