Patient Reviews for Dr. Hayama Brill - MD, FACOG
I've been going to Dr. Brill for almost a year. She is very knowledgeable and I've recommended her to my friends.
She's a very professional and straight to the point doctor. I'd been having annual checks since 18 and always been told everything was normal even though everytime I mention I have extreme period pains. Only when I moved to NY and went to see Dr. Brill did someone actually perform a vaginal sonogram and told me I had large cysts on my ovaries and then we did surgery to remove them and I was diagnosed with endometriosis. It's a bit of a double edged sword in the sense that it sucks to find out you have an incurable condition but at least it is good to know that you have it so you can monitor it properly.
She put me at ease and was very professional.
Great doctor to go see, went for my annual exam and she was very straight forward and insightful, really felt like I was being looked after.
Professional, friendly, thorough. answered all questions appropriately. was a routine gyn visit but saw lots of happy pregnant and post-partum patients in her waiting room.
I had a great experience for my first visit to Dr. Brill. The office is gorgeous and she was extremely friendly but got to the point during my exam.
Doctor was rude. Not very friendly at all. Will not go back.
After waiting 30 minutes for my consultation, Dr. Brill was very cold and then told me that- woops!- they stopped taking my insurance for pregnancies. I guessed it must have just slipped everyone's mind. I'm sure glad I wasted all my time going from Brooklyn to the UES.
Dr. Brill was pleasant and thorough. I saw her for my annual exam. She sat and spoke with me about my history and health in her office first and then performed the exam. She was engaged in our discussion, asked good questions, and asked if I had any questions. Her assistant was in the room, but I didn't think it was a big deal - she helped the doctor so the exam went by quicker. The office staff were friendly, wait time was minimal, and the office itself was beautiful. I recommend Dr. Brill.
Dr. Brill is to the point. She won't make you feel uncomfortable, and is open to discuss anything. I'm glad that I made an appointment with her.
She was very professional and answered all of my questions. She made me feel very comfortable and explained exactly what she was doing so that I was not surprised.
I didn't have anything complicated, just a routine exam, and I went away very satisfied. One of the nicest office staff, and the doctor spent a lot of time with me.
She was very intimidating and rude. I felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there. The receptionist asked me personal information in front of other people in the waiting area. There was no respect for privacy here. The doctor made me wait a very long time and seemed to treat me like a burden. She wanted to have her assistant in the room during my exam which I refused and she gave me an attitude but at that point I could care less. I felt she told me nothing and my appointment was a huge waste of time. I would never return here not even if you paid me. I agree with the other reviewer who said she left feeling bad about herself because i completely felt the same way.
Very professional and pleasant to talk to
I felt very uncomfortable with my visit. The doctor was knowledgeable, however I felt as though I was being judged for my birth control request. There was also very little regard for privacy in terms of tests results.
Prompt, quick and to the point. She does move quite quick so if you don't have questions in mind ahead of time or cut to the chase, you may not get all your questions answered. But very professional and made me feel very comfortable. The assistant came in part way through the exam and opened the door which was a bit awkward.
Dr. Brill is warm, friendly, and provides great information. The exam went smoothly. She makes you feel very comfortable. Very pleasant experience.
Dr Brill is an extremely insensitive and not very skilled doctor. I had the worst and the most painful experience of my life
Very professional and thorough. Was non-judgmental and to the point. The office is very lovely and welcoming.
One of the worst doctor visits I have ever experienced. Although it was 4 pm on a Friday (Which they rescheduled!), does not mean I should get treated like a bother. She was arrogant, rude and I walked out of there feeling worse about myself that I have in a long time. The only plus was that the office itself felt more like a spa than a DR office (bc it is also a plastic surgeon office).
She is very efficient, gets the job done. However she kept checking her blackberry every couple of minutes she was with me.
I found her a little cold on my first few visits. But she quickly warmed up in her own way. She is to the point and quite direct, and her hands are quite gentle. My delivery was really amazing and wonderful, thanks to her patience and to her commitment to our 'plan'.
professional, efficient and reccomended
