Dr. Gladstone is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Gladstone is a specialist in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and knee and shoulder
reconstructive surgery. He attended Dartmouth College and Tufts University School of Medicine. He performed his orthopaedic residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center's New York Orthopaedic Hospital.
Following his residency he sub-specialized with a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama under the tutelage of Dr. James Andrews and Dr. William Clancy. In 1996, he joined the Department of Orthopaedics at Mount Sinai as an assistant professor and specialist in sports medicine.
Dr. Gladstone's areas of expertise include arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle, ligament reconstruction of the knee, shoulder stabilization procedures for instability and dislocation, rotator cuff problems from bursitis to rotator cuff tears and knee and shoulder total joint replacement. As a result of intense exposure during fellowship, Dr. Gladstone is highly skilled and up-to-date in the latest techniques of arthroscopic surgery. This type of surgery, which uses fiberoptic pencil-thin camera, can reduce skin and muscle incisions and facilitate rehabilitation and a faster return to activities.
Dr. Gladstone has extensive experience in management of sports injuries from muscle strains, tendinitis and other overuse injuries to acute ligament tears and joint dislocations.
Dr. Gladstone's interest in sports medicine extends to acting as team physician for a number of area high schools, event coverage such as the New York City marathon and conducting seminars on sports injury prevention and treatment.…
Annoyed by too long wait time of 40 minutes. In my book 30mins gets 2 stars. Anything over gets 1 star. Since when is patients' time less valuable than the doctors'? They should have the courtesy of posting/communicating current wait times to patients. Like the airlines.
Dr. Gladstone was direct, attentive, knowedgable, matter of fact, and non-rushed. Answered all questions. I expect I'll use him for my shoulder surgery.

Dr. Gladstone was worth the wait, and the staff was professional. The waiting time, as many others have already expressed, is a real problem.

Great doctor, very intelligent and reliable. I checked him out online before making an appointment and found that he's highly recommended on other websites as well. Good bedside manner and explains everything thoroughly. His staff is a bit stiff, but being able to communicate via email is great. Very highly recommended.

I like Dr. Gladstone. He's thorough and caring. But they absolutely MUST do something about the waiting time. My appt was 9:30am and I had to wait 45 minutes. By the middle to the end of the day he's hours behind.

Genuine, warm, and definitely has his patients' best interests a heart (a surgeon who does not push surgery as the only option - how refreshing!). I'm also quite impressed with the professional, but personal treatment that I have received by his assistants.

The Office is managed horribly. I waited over an hour to be seen. Then when they finally took me into the office, they had me confused with another patient.
His office was supposed to call me with important information the next day but 3 days passed and they never contacted me. When I called them, they had an attitude and said that they had left an voicemail and an email. Neither of which I received. The staff's lack of compassion, hurried attitude, and disorganization made it an unplesant experience which is a shame because Dr. Gladstone himself is great.
