Frequently asked questions
Where can I see appointments for the booking source “Healthcare platforms”?
Bookings completed on healthcare platforms that use Zocdoc’s technology—such as Blue Shield of California, MetroPlus Health, or the Department of Veterans Affairs (in partnership with WellHive)—currently have their own report. If you have bookings made on these platforms, you will see a yellow banner at the top of the Appointment Report page with a link to the report.
Why can’t I see appointments from “Your website” (Book Online Button) or “Google and others” (Book from Google) for dates before Jan. 1, 2025?
From Jan 1, 2025 onward, the Appointment Report will show appointment details for the sources your practice uses, like the Zocdoc Marketplace, Book from Google, and the Book Online Button. When you look at the Appointment Report for periods before Jan 1, 2025, bookings from the Book Online Button and Book from Google will be grouped together under Your website and others.
What if a patient marks that they’re a new patient, but they’re actually an existing patient?
If you believe a patient mistakenly identified themselves as a new patient, report it to us within 7 days of receiving the booking:
Go to your Appointment Report.
Find the relevant appointment and click on the three dots on the far right (last column).
Click on “Submit a claim that this is an existing patient.”
Review the pop-up and enter the patient’s last appointment date. Submit your claim by checking the box to confirm the patient has previously seen the provider and then click “Submit.”
We will review your claim. If the Zocdoc team can confirm this is an existing patient, the new patient booking fee will be applied as a credit to your account. If your claims are found to be submitted in bad faith, your account may be suspended.
