Zocdoc now helps you create or claim your Google Business Profiles directly within your Zocdoc account. Whether you’re starting from scratch or need to claim an existing profile, we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Before you start, make sure you:
Enable Book from Google in your practice settings.
Link your Google Business account with Zocdoc.
After you link your Google Business account, you will see all of your Zocdoc profiles, and whether they are connected to a Google Business Profile
Creating and Claiming your Google Business Profiles
Open the Google Business Profiles tab.
Identify missing Google Business Profiles, look for any provider or practice profiles labeled Not Connected.
Click Set up profile, Zocdoc will automatically check if a profile already exists for that location.
Claim or Create a profile
If a matching unclaimed profile is found, you’ll be given the option to claim it.
If no match exists or the match is incorrect, you can proceed to create a new profile.
Select a verification method offered by Google. Google will send you a verification code based on your selected method.
Enter the code in Zocdoc when prompted to complete the verification process.
Once verified, your profile’s status will update to Connected in the Google Business Profile table in Zocdoc.
Note: It may take Google 2 to 5 business days after your profile has been connected for your “Book Online” button to appear on your Google Business Profile.
Understanding your profile status
Status | Meaning |
Not connected | There is no Google Business Profile associated with this location visible in search and map results. |
Verification pending | Google is reviewing the profile information you submitted. |
Connected | Your Google Business Profile is visible in search and map results. |
Verification error | Google was unable to verify this profile. Please contact Google to finish setting up your Google Business Profile. |

Action | Meaning |
Set up profile | Create or claim a Google Business Profile for this location using your Zocdoc information. |
View all actions | This provider has multiple profiles that require action. |
Contact Google | Google couldn't verify your Business Profile. You'll need to contact them directly to verify your profile. |
