If your scheduling software is not eligible for a Calendar Integration, you must keep your availability up-to-date on the Calendar page in your Zocdoc account.
If you have a newer version of calendar, read this article for more details.
How to add availability
Go to the Calendar tab to add, modify, or remove availability. Each provider at your practice will appear as a tab on the Calendar.
Select the day and time to add an available block of time. Select a practice location for each block of availability. To make an availability block recurring, adjust the frequency and days of the week.
Tips
List all of your open availability to maximize the amount of bookings you can receive
Offer both near-term and long-term availability to meet patient demand. Most patients searching want to book now or in the next 24–48 hours, though others want to book appointments weeks or months in advance.
Make sure your availability blocks are at least as long as your Visit Reason lengths
Modifying availability
To edit your availability, click on the left hand side of a block of availability. From there, you can change the time, frequency, day of the week, and location of the availability.
Deleting availability
To delete, click on the left hand side of a block of availability. Then, click "Delete" on the bottom right.
How to add busy blocks
You can mark times on your Zocdoc calendar that patients will not be able to book with you. Add a busy block in your Zocdoc calendar when you receive a booking over the phone to prevent a Zocdoc patient from double booking at that time
To add a busy block, click a time within an availability block and specify the length of the block.
How to add Out of Office blocks
Out of Office blocks ensure you show up as unavailable all day long. Add these any time a provider will be on vacation or on holidays when your practice is closed.
To add an Out of Office block, click in the area directly below the weekday name.
A note about lead time
To ensure patients and practices have enough time to prepare for the appointment before it takes place, patients will only be able to see and book times that are at least 2 hours in advance. For example, say it's 10 a.m. and a patient is looking at your practice’s availability for the day. The earliest appointment a patient would be able to see, if your practice has availability at this time, would be 12 p.m.
