The staff were caring, they answered any and all questions, the nurse practitioner chi (a Nigerian woman she had a longer name) gave some of the best medical care I've ever seen. As someone who has dealt with many doctors and medical facilities, the care was absolutely top-notch. No complaints.
This isn't really a complaint but something to improve upon if you possibly can. The wait time was about an hour and a half (which is expected for good doctors!) but if there was anything you could improve upon it would be that. Everything else was absolutely flawless! Will not be going anywhere else for my medical care due to the quality of care I received. Perfect! ”

First off, I want to say that the office staff was lovely. The issue was with the doctor herself. I called this office to confirm they were able to do a work physical. My company requires we get a pretty standard physical every year. Blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, nothing very fancy. Before the pandemic they did our blood tests in office with a little finger prick and a literal drop of blood. I have been to another office before I moved here, and they acted like it was completely normal information. This doctor acted like the physical sheet was printed in Greek and made a weirdly big deal about it. I was uncomfortable and decided it was a good idea to leave. I still do not know what the miscommunication was, but it is a giant red flag that a doctor was so weirdly unprofessional and almost combative about what feel like very standard tests. 0/10 do not recommend.

Call ahead to verify that they can in fact do simple tasks. I made this mistake and wasted mine and their time. I was scheduled for a work physical. I was told that my first visit would be to just "establish care" and I would need to schedule another visit to get my physical. I had my own document that my insurance required with me and showed them to see if just those few things could be done (weight, waist circumference, blood pressure and cholesterol). They said it would take blood work and that insurance typically did not cover it. My work pays for this every year so I told them I would sign off if needed but I just needed those results. They all (nurses, front office and doctor) acted like this was a crazy request. When I decided to leave the individual running the front desk let me know that they did not even have the equipment to do blood tests so all of the back and forth was useless anyway. An unfortunate time for sure.

The nurse was very kind, however, I did not feel that Dr. Okonkwo listened well, and also did not ask good clarifying questions. She did not even explain the diagnosis and skipped straight to prescribing medication. I had to ask what the problem was directly. Was very disappointed in the visit and will not be returning.

The provider was very friendly and I might go back because I felt she listened which I appreciated and I really liked her as a person. The office however did not have my paperwork that I submitted beforehand or my insurance info I had provided, so I had to fill everything out a second time. In addition, and the bigger issue, was that I waited to be seen for over an hour. My appointment was at 2:00 pm and I arrived at 1:50 since my paperwork had been completed beforehand. My second round of paperwork took me maybe 5-6 minutes. I still was not seen by the provider until about 3:15 pm. I was on my lunch hour to attend this appt and I didn’t feel they would have even brought me back so soon except I asked several times when I would be seen. Though I liked the provider, I am not sure I will be back because of this office experience.

Dr. Chi is such an excellent physician, and she is very easy to speak with. Makes you feel like you are the only patient she has that day. I appreciate a physician like that who takes the time to break down your treatment options & doesn't make you feel rushed. If a family member asked me who they should treat with I would recommend Dr. Okonkwo 10 out of 10 times!

She is very nice and has more than 20 years of experience with much of that as a treating nurse practitioner. She has impeccable bedside manner and a real zeal for her work, or at least it appears so by the smile on her face every time I've seen her. She seems to really know her stuff too! I recommend her office to anyone in the Denton area.

"Everyone was very nice, and it is nice to be treated well since you are the patient in need of help. Caring, smiling and laughing is good atmosphere for patients. Prescriber is very detailed and humbled; she listens to my entire concerns patiently. Everyone here at clinic was very professional and courteous. I will continue to come here."
