I can only say that if you want a Dr to go the extra mile which even includes getting me an appointment with another doctor then Dr Sharma is your person. Knowledgeable , Bright Dynamic Personality and has never made me feel Rushed .
Pain Management isn’t a black or white science so when something isn’t working she’s prompt to think about what’s the next best option.

I saw three back specialists before finding Dr. Kavita Sharma and couldn't be happier. She is an extraordinarily clear communicator, and after having experienced two herniated disc extrusions these past few months but finding no plan forward, Dr. Sharma came as a relief. I am incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Sharma: besides being super kind and knowledgeable, she provided me with the best care I could have asked for.

I rarely write reviews but I can honestly say that Dr Sharma was outstanding. She was personable, thoughtful, knowledgeable, awesome personality and clearly understood that I was in pain. She’s not the first Dr I have seen who hasn’t done this but that usually doesn’t happen within the first 10 minutes. She gave me at least 30 plus minutes and totally understood when I said I hate needles.
I highly recommend Dr Sharma to anyone who wants the same experience.

Overall, I had a very "meh" experience with this office and doctor and I won't be returning.
The receptionist/assistant at the front was completely disheveled, no idea why. She was very nice, but just totally all over the place. You are told to go to the 4th floor, but actually you need to be on the 3rd floor and when I arrived, no one greeted me or checked me in (which resulted in me going back to the 4th floor to only be brought back to the 3rd floor). Ugh!!
The doctor knew her stuff, but her direct approach/disposition made me even more afraid than I already was. I did get x-rays over a week ago and haven't heard from the office. I'm actually concerned the woman who imaged my back/side did so on the incorrect side of my body (I asked her twice if what she was doing was correct - but she never directly answered my question).
Overall, Mount Sinai doctors are totally spread thin and see 30-40 patients a day. You are just a number on the calendar & I certainly felt like one.

Make sure your insurance is accepted, my insurance was not accepted and was an out of network doctor. Definitely would recommend going to Dr Kavita, she took her time to explain and test for where my pain was stemming from.

Although she was pleasant enough and seemed knowledgable, the appointment was rushed and I didn't feel my problem was given the attention it deserved. She basically did a five minute exam then referred me to a PT and X-ray. So overall probably only worth the co-pay for the referrals.
