Julianne Tyler, APCC

Psychotherapist
CA
My decision to become a therapist stemmed from a deep desire to help others navigate life's challenges and find healing. Throughout my own experiences, I noticed the power of listening and receiving support when facing difficult moments. I was inspired by the ability of therapy to foster growth, understanding, and resilience in others. I'm passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions and ultimately work toward positive change. My goal is to support and empower clients as they move toward their own sense of well-being and fulfillment. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. My California license number is 8046, and I am employed by Foresight Mental Health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Study's show that when a person experiences feeling heard and understood, it triggers similar feelings, validation and comfort that a hug would provide, leaving people feelings supported and acknowledged. I believe that truly feeling heard and understood is essential for the therapeutic process. I strive to prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can express themselves freely, without judgment. I seek to actively listen as well as provide empathy and compassion as clients navigate areas of life. My goal is to assist with clients feeling seen, valued, and respected as we collaborate on their journey toward healing and growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Building trust and a strong therapeutic alliance is important towards the therapeutic process . My hope is to create a space where client's feel safe and comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I believe trust is built through active listening, empathy, and being fully present in our conversations. A little humor, when appropriate, can also be a helpful tool in building connection and making things feel less intimidating. My goal is to balance professionalism with warmth, ensuring you feel supported, understood, and even have a moment to laugh, as we work together toward your goals.
