Patient reviews for Michelle Cochran, NP
Great visit I highly recommend her and the office.
Michelle was just what I was hoping for; I'm new to the area and needed a GP and a new gynecologist, and had a great experience with my NP back home. I was worried about being able to duplicate the positivity of that experience, but her frank, calm tone made me feel really confident, especially when I told her I was looking for a GP/GYN that would be geared towards holistic care. She sent me away with suggestions for follow up care and questions to ask for my own education on my health and health care.
This was my second visit. I am so impressed with this clinic! I saw Elizabeth before and this time I saw Michelle. Both were excellent. So was Tamara, the X-Ray technician/specialist. The medical assistant who helped me today was skilled and nice too. Everyone worked quickly and efficiently. And yet everyone was relaxed and personable.
Staff was very quick & helpful!
I loved how friendly and efficient the staff was. I was late and still seen very quickly. The office was soooo clean and everyone was very friendly and calm. The wait time for the doctor was the shortest I’ve ever experienced. Being new to DC from NYC this was the world of a difference compared to Brooklyn medical care.
She didn't give me much information without having to ask specific questions after she had left the room.
NP Cochran is great! Thank you so much!
Well pleased. I was seen although I was late.
A great listener, gentle, and extremely helpful.
Michelle makes me feel so comfortable. She’s got great bedside manner and really listens to her patients and I thorough with the physical exam. I highly recommend Michelle as a primary care provider!
Michelle is a thoughtful NP. She is very helpful and provided efficient treatment.
She was excellent and I liked her very much. I would absolutely recommend her.
She never examined me. Indicated tests were expensive and she didn't want to recommend the wrong test. It was a complete waste of time. I found this professional via the GWU web site as someone who could see me about what was bothering me and she spent less than five minutes with me and didn't help. Maybe for colds and stuff she is good.
Attentive, thorough, concerned, and just smart. She’s great! The whole staff there was wonderful. Big thumbs up!
Michelle is a breath of fresh air in an industry that has accepted individuals' wellness as the last concern in our healthcare system. Her bedside manner is excellent, and she always makes me feel at ease. She is a good listener, and always takes her time.
Very understand and listens to what your concerns are .
I had an appointment, so I got called back in 5 minutes. NP Cochran correctly diagnosed my problem and sent me on my way in no time. She was very courteous and professional.
she was very nice and friendly.
She was thoughtful and listened to my concerns. She did not rush me at all.
NP Cochran is a great communicator whose actually concerned about the welfare of her patients.
Michelle was friendly and patient, listening to my concerns and addressed the issue right away. Would definitely see her again.
My visit with Michelle was great. She was kind, professional, and made me comfortable. Would highly recommend.
She was kind of snobby.Being rude about taking my scarf while it was on my neck. And fast talking me wouldn't let me explain anything
Excellent bedside manner. Very informative, very patient & a great listener.
A very pleasant first-time visit experience. Will likely return for medical needs in the future.
Michelle was so professional and caring! She validated all of my concerns and easily answered my questions. She came off as very personable and I would feel comfortable recommending her to anyone. The wait time before I was actually seen was a bit long.
Michelle is always prompt, and courteous. She takes her time with patients, yet is able to manage a well-stocked waiting room. I always feel like I'm with a caring family member--not a forced relationship with a health-care provider.
First of all I like the doctors office, the staff is noce and wait time is no long at all. Also it is easy to schedule appointments. Any concerns I have are addressed immediately.
While I really appreciated Michelle's candor and bedside manner, the practitioners and the doctors need to get on the same page regarding calling the office and test results. I was told to call back the next day, but no later than two days later. I just got off the phone with the desk attendant, who told me I wouldn't be getting anything for at least 3-5 business days, and that would be after a review by Michelle. This isn't complicated, guys. Be honest about expectations from the get go.
Michelle has a wonderful bedside manner that conveys genuine care and concern. I really appreciate that about her.
This is my second time seeing Michelle. Her bed-side manner is awesome and she makes you feel so comfortable! I've definitely found my new NP! I'd defintely recommend her.
Always attentive and thinking 3 steps ahead!
Ms Cochran was professional and competent; she was also thoughtful, sensitive to my concerns as a patient, and a careful listener.
She's terrific! Second time I've seen her. Comforting bedside manner, took me seriously even though my quick strep test came back negative.
Very helpful and wouldn't hesitate again to see Michelle. Top notch attention and appreciated her help.
I was impressed by how kind and thorough Michelle was. There was a bit of a wait to see her, but nothing out of the ordinary for a doctor's office, and definitely worth it! The other staff in the office were equally kind and helpful.
She was very thorough and professional. She inspired my confidence.
It was a very awkward appointment. I was scheduled at 1015 but was not seen until 1125. I will not be returning.
Didn't mind the wait. Excellent service as always.
I really appreciated the kindness and listening, it can sometimes be very busy there so it means a lot.
Very informative. Always helpful.
Michelle Cochran was very helpful in getting my tests I needed for grad school. She why I needed them and was thorough, but efficient.
It was great
Ohhh my goodness, she is FABULOUS!!! I went in with a massive migraine and everyone took care of me. The medical assistants spoke quietly and turned the light down. When I felt sick they brought me a barf bag and cold pack in less than a minute. Michelle has such a calming presence about her and is such a kind person. She came into the room and spoke quietly to tell me she took the time to review my chart from my George Washington MFA neurologist. She took the time to actually read it so I did not have to tell her what is already there. I hate it when doctors do not do take time to do that!. If you are the type of person that needs to feel the "love" when you feel terrible take the time to wait to see her. I only had to wait 3 hours from time I booked to seeing her. No waiting once I checked-in with reception. Mind you, I was in Sibley ER last night for same thing and awesome as they are, did not feel the love. Michelle used to be a mid-wife for those that might need someone until their OB is open over the weekend. I almost thought I should give her a bad review so I could always get a quick appointment with her. But, that is just not nice. She is my new go-to person for anything I need when I can not see my PCP. Also, this facility is a part of George Washington Medical Faculty Associates. Thanks Michelle! Kimber S.
Michelle Cochran, NP was great, very informative and patient. But the wait was long, I schedule an appointment so that I could be seen and other in a decent time. I wanted close to 40 mins but once I went back the appointme t was about 15 more minutes and I was on my way.
Professional thorough and competent--pleased with the experience
NP Cochran did a very through job of explaining my issue. I felt she listened well and considered everything I told her while also being very efficient. The nurse was also very kind and did an excellent job as well.
She was very pleasant, intuitive and I felt like she really cared about my well being.
The wait time was just under 2 hours which for an appointment that took 10 minutes tops. She wasn’t terrible just not the most inviting practitioner but I don’t really feel like time was given to talk through all my concerns. I came in for a physical was supposed to then have blood work done a few days later. When I got to the office this morning I was told that the no orders were put in for me. What is interesting is that when I left my first appointment I stopped at the front desk to schedule the blood work i watched her tell the front office that she was going to put the panel in, I’m unclear as to what happened there. So I fasted as she requested for nothing and wasting a good part of my morning to get to an appointment early only to be told I’d be contacted tomorrow.
She was very professional and warm. She offered great advice and was very quick and efficient in calling in my prescription,
