Tamara Aviles, MD, specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her focus is on caring for women of all ages with special interest in preventive health. Dr. Aviles is trained in the most advanced medical treatments and minimally invasive surgical techniques. She believes women’s health concerns are unique, which is why she creates treatment plans tailored to each of her patients, making sure that women are able to actively participate in the decision- making process and leave the office with a clear understanding of their treatment plans. Dr. Aviles earned her medical degree at Facultad de Medicina, Universidad del Azuay in Cuenca, Ecuador. She completed her residency at BronxCare Health System, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Bronx, New York. Due to her interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, she completed a rotation at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Aviles has participated in various research studies and has been published in peer review journals.

Dr Aviles is definitely above and beyond the rest. She conducted a thourough exam after the history taken by her nurse. She is attentive and listens intently to gather information and makes decisions about treatment in collaboration with the patient. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. It is nice to have an MD who actually cares. Thank you.
