Brianne graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Brianne chose to continue her education by earning her Masters of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health as well as a Certificate in Play Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Brianne has clinical experience working with clients dealing with a range of issues, including trauma, child abuse, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Brianne comes from a humanistic school of thought where she offers a Person- Centered approach. She believes that individuals have a basic inclination to strive to reach their potential. Brianne enjoys working with clients from ages 3 and up, but specializes in age 3-9 where she utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy. When working with teens and adults she pulls techniques from different modalities to best meet the needs of each client such as Person-Centered, CBT, and/or expressive art activities (art, music, biblio, sandtray, etc..). Brianne enjoys spending her free time with her family, her 3 rescue dogs, and friends. She enjoys lake days, beach days, sports, and traveling.
