“Dr. Patterson is so kind, relaxed, compassionate, intelligent and just everything you would want in a doctor/ surgeon. He has a beautiful energy and listened to me and responded with thoughtfulness and patience. I did not feel rushed at all. He ended up referring me to one of his colleagues after running some tests but I will always appreciate his wonderful bedside manner and the time he took to try and help me figure out what was causing my pain.”

This was overall just terrible.
10 minutes with the dr charged me unbelievably high price (which I cannot disclose due to Zocdoc policy)
Insurance did not cover all, just half.
Dr seemed like he was above treating me, as if it was beneath him.
I was never told it was going to be so so expensive even after I provided my insurance details at the office.

The nurse’s service is good and fast, and the doctor's assistant Mark is very patient with me

The office was nice. Zocdoc referred me to the wrong doctor. Luckily, another doctor was in the group and i was seen by another doctor.

I booked the appointment last week with an orthopedist but the office called me one day before and said he only saw trauma patients and wouldn’t see me. The next appt they could offer was next month. Not acceptable.

Super explanatory and very attentive to my needs and pain. He recommended his colleague who is a specialist in the area I injured and treated me in a way that indicates he sincerely is invested in the wellbeing of his patients.

Dr Patterson is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in his profession. Earlier in the year I had a heart transplant at Keck Medical Center and as I was recovering I fell and broke both bones in my leg close to my ankle. Dr Patterson assured me that they will take care of me and my leg. One titanium rod and 13 screws were placed and after physical therapy my leg feels amazing.
If you need a great orthopedic surgeon Dr Patterson would be the one to call.

I went in with noticeable pain and limited ability to move my arm but was given no options for it other than to wait until I can get an MRI to figure out the source. I felt like I was being treated like someone in search of pain medications and not taken seriously.

The doctors and staff were very friendly overall. My lower rating comes from the dependency on their radiology appointment, who cant seem to find time for an urgent MRI followup while im in pain

Dr. Patterson’s staff was friendly and his student resident assistant was great. Unfortunately, Dr. Patterson (while very kind and knowledgeable) seems to push surgery onto his patients when it may not be necessary. After fracturing my elbow, I visited Dr. Patterson for care. After my X-rays were reviewed by lab techs and his assistant, the consensus seemed to be a small fracture and normal healing time should do the trick. Then, once I finally saw Dr. Patterson, surgery suddenly became my only option. I expressed concern but felt unheard and nudged towards surgery based on fear. Based on the opinions that came before his, I sought out a second and third opinion. Both came to the same conclusion: no surgery. While I do believe Dr. Patterson cared about my well being, I couldn’t help but feel pushed towards a large procedure that my injury didn’t warrant. Was it to provide an educational experience for his residents? I’m not sure. I wish my concerns were better received.

Dr Patterson was great. I just think there was a hickup with my information that why it took so long. but I don't think he normally take forever to see patients usc pretty good about in patient in and you see on time.
