“I’m very very sad that I will not be a patient anymore more . I feel for all the patients that now have to look for new dr . Because of insurance wants to go with cheaper. Optum is starting to be all about money not the patient. And the one that the insurance referred me to all have bad reviews. What a mistake the insurance company is doing.”

He attended the University of Michigan and was a cum laude graduate of Loma Linda University with his undergraduate degree in Biology. He earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Chen served as a Resident and later a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center of Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences in New Jersey. He went on to complete his Fellowship at St Joseph’s in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Chen is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology. He is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Medical Association. Dr. Chen is active in community outreach programs in the San Gabriel Valley Chinese community.

Experience at facility
Dr. Chen snd his PA are amazing. They treated me like I was their only patient. They took time with me listened to me, asked questions, checked my surgical area and did a physical including checking my lungs, heart, checking for swelling blood pressure. More than my general doctor. I felt like they care! Which they do. My Ins dropped them but I will be s cash patient. They care and want to heal me. I’m very lucky I found them. Dr. Chen is well known in Pasadena and comes highly recommended! I now know why. His team cares about their patients im not just a number!
They care! They listen! They made sure I understood my kind of breast cancer and why I didn’t need chemo but a hormone pill I take for 5years. He told me never forget to take it. He told me what vitamins to take to help me with my health. They care about my pain and recovery. My daughter is an oncology nurse and knows Dr Chen and as well as one of the hospitals he works at. He’s very well known there. Very respected. God has been with me since I was diagnosed and I feel blessed I have had excellent care

The sta? were respectful and courteous. They provided me information regarding face masks and the importance of utilizing them even if it was mandated. Their concerns about other patients including myself was a priority to the sta?.
The visit went smoothly, I did not wait very long, the o?ce was comfortable and the sta? was good. I was surprised that I did not have my appointment with Dr. Chen as I expected. But Cameron Fisher was nice.
