About Dr. Mark Lewis
Dr. Mark Lewis was born and raised in New Jersey, and after graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and Magna Cum Laude, from Dartmouth College, went to NYU Medical School. He completed internship, and junior residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut . This was followed by Dermatology residency, and a subsequent year as a teaching fellow at Brown University/Roger Williams Hospital. Since then he has been in private practice in Marblehead, Massachusetts. For the last 20 years, he has been Chief of Dermatology at North Shore Medical Center. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology, and for many years has had an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor in Dermatology at Tufts University. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, photography, and plays in a country/folk band.

Dr. Lewis is a very knowledgeable dermatologist and I trust his observations and treatments. I have experienced a good deal of sun exposure in my life, and have many precancerous skin spots, so I trust him when he finds things that need to be zapped.

He had tested a mole that we were concerned about taking half off. They said it looked irregular so I asked for the other half to be removed and he removed an entirely different mole..scarring me twice. He then proceeded to talk his way out of screwing up by justifying the mole he accidentally took off was irregular so it was “ serendipitous.” Never did he just take accountability for his actions. He would rather explain away his mistake that just apologize and ask what I as the client need. Never would I recommend this man to anyone.?

I was received politely, taken care of in a timely manner, Given sufficient time to complete paperwork and a very sweet and pleasant associate prepared me for the Dr interview. Unfortunately at 81 I can't recall her name. Dr Lewis arrived and did initial review of my issue, listened to my explanation of what was happening, gave me complete details of what he believes is the problem, issud a prescription, described how to care for the problem and told me to contact him if the situation was not resolved in a week or so. It was a very positive visit

The care was very unprofessional. After a side bar between staff (excluding my mother and the family member who took her), my mother was stuck w a needle, with no notice or explanation and without apology, after my mother called out in pain. Then a biopsy was taken and a little bandaid was put on a gaping bloody wound. My mother is on blood thinner and when she got home, her leg, clothes and shoes were covered in blood. I would never recommend this office to anyone.

Felt a bit outdated within health care of pushing creams and pills . And was not entirely aligned with medical approach but was friendly and direct . I believe that health comes from within the body and what you put into the body food drink ie is essential . Not just popping another medication .

This office is so disorganized I will not be going back. I spent more time filling out paperwork than actually being seen by the doctor. Then I received an email saying I was being charged for the full amount of the visit. When I called them to follow up they said they forgot to send it to my insurance first.
The doctor wrote me a prescription that the pharmacy informed me no longer exists and after 3 follow up calls to get that issue fixed I still have not heard back from them. I cannot believe how disorganized this office is.
