About Dr. Jonathan Jezequel
Jonathan Jezequel is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist who believes in the effectiveness of treatments grounded in scientific research, hands-on clinical experience, and patient-centered goals. He works closely and individually with each patient to facilitate a timely and thorough recovery, enabling them to regain their optimal functionality. His areas of expertise include lower limb tendinopathies, soccer-related injuries, and running-related injuries.
Jonathan received his bachelor's degree from Wheaton College, where he studied applied health sciences and graduated magna cum laude. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University and was the Faculty Excellence in Orthopedics laureate. He additionally earned his Doctor of Education in Movement Science at Teachers College and Columbia University Irving Medical Center where he studied postural control in Achilles tendinopathy. He maintains board certification in orthopedics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is an adjunct instructor at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Program in Physical Therapy.

It was my first appointment with the doctor and was seeing him for lower back pain
The doctor was very thorough and listened to my history and my current condition. He meticulously explained how and why my condition is being triggered using very cool visualizations.
He came up with a treatment plan suitable for me and even modified it on the spot based on how I was responding.
I was pleasantly surprised by his thoroughness and listening skills

Dr. Jezequel was incredibly friendly and great at listening to what was going on with my back pain but was also obviously invested in me as a person and we chatted about hobbies and interests while working out the pain. He was clear in explaining what was going on with my lower back, showed me visual guides on a tablet that was interactive so we could better visualize and work through the issue together. Very glad that I found him for this issue.

Since there was a mix-up and I was only scheduled for 30 minutes instead of a full hour for the initial consultation, I got there a little early hoping to stretch the time. I only had to wait about 5 minutes before I was seen, ahead of my scheduled appointment time.
Jonathan was very professional, very thorough, and explained everything that was happening in great detail using a tablet to help me visualize what we were working on. I look forward to doing the prescribed exercises and to our future sessions.

I have worked with several doctors regarding my shoulder injury and no one ever really listened to my complaints. It felt like I went months with unresolved pain. From the moment I walked into the office, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Dr. Jezequel and his assistant were patient, thorough and most importantly, understanding. They listened to me run through all the areas I felt pain, and worked with me to figure out the best approach so I can get back into doing what I love to do. He gave me information and explained why I felt certain sensations and pain in the areas I did before running through exercises to strengthen my shoulder. I left the office with such a sense of relief that I finally found a practice where the doctors truly cared.
