While the provider I booked wasn’t the one I ended up seeing, this was all dealt with and approved by me in advance of my appointment. I was very pleased with the (virtual) visit. The attention and care I received was significantly higher than appointments I’ve had with psychiatrists in the past, who spent at most 10 minutes with me, wrote a prescription, and did not provide any level of care beyond the surface. This is what I thought I was to expect for medication management. However, I booked with an NP this time and there’s no going back for me. 40+ minutes later and I had a much better understanding of the meds I am taking, what meds I can possibly supplement with or switch to, other health considerations, etc. My provider was attentive, kind, comprehensive, and explained everything to me in detail.

Lindon was very personable and easy to connect with. I was just looking for a psych who could continue sending us scripts for my medication after moving to a new state - when booking with Orenda they did call me to let me know the system doubled booked the person I originally scheduled with but they were able to adjust and keep the same time slot but with a different doctor - aka Lindon. He asked the important questions and actively listened to my answers, I felt comfortable talking with him the entire time.

The office admin is terrible. First she told me the therapist I booked wasn't taking clients. I booked this provider specifically because he was a male POC. She tried to reschedule me twice with two different white women. When I declined the original provider was suddenly taking clients now. I booked a session. They tried to bill me through an old employer. I informed them I didn't want to be billed through them and rather than canceling my session they tried to charge me a $100 cancellation fee for a session I didn't want. Absolutely terrible how they treat potential clients. They're clearly just looking to turn profit. STAY AWAY!

The was confusion as I chose a different doctor and was called 5:30 the night before and was told that doctor was not available so I was switched to Lindon but was called first thing in morning to have my time changed. That was a bit unnerving but Lindon was great.

I've been very hesitant to explore mental health support after a not so great experience years ago; the session with Lindon Richards, although it was my our first meeting, went much better than I anticipated. I felt my anxiety acting up as I tried to respond authentically, but he held a very calm, accepting, and warm demeanor. It was very validating, and informative. When we discussed next steps, it didn't feel like an assignment but instead, felt like a partnership. Even though I just started with Richards, I highly recommend him especially to anyone cautious about reaching out for support or fearing judgement.
