My experience with Ricky Luong was very smooth, he asked many questions which I appreciated, I heard some bad experiences from people before talking to psychiatrists, saying that they don't listen to them and just prescribe them whatever, but my experience was the opposite. And I appreciate prescribing low dosages for me before going too strong. Recommended :)

The provider himself was very kind, really listened and asked a ton of questions before ultimately deciding on a treatment plan I felt comfortable with. However, I later found out that the depth of care for this visit was because the visit was being billed as a psychotherapy session, which is not at all what I agreed to as my insurance does not cover psychotherapy. I have asked their billing department to please call me multiple times to resolve the issue and they have refused to, only texting me my visit summary instead. They also rescheduled me to a different provider a minute before my original appointment time, and seemed to be using the wrong intake forms during my appointment (they were not the answers I had submitted). Overall, the provider is very nice and helpful but the office appears to be terribly managed and it causes a huge amount of stress for patients who are in need of psychiatric help.

Outstanding. Listened and actually gleaned information from everything I told him. Asked relevant questions. Occasionally said things like "that must have been discouraging." Didn't rush even when we were clearly running out of time, made sure we finished the important things. Got my prescriptions updated, scheduled followup right away, told me how to get in touch with the office in the meantime if I needed. Really just competent and kind, but that is a super high bar at this point. Can't recommend highly enough.
