“I was very satisfied with the office staff and with Dr. Price. This was my follow up visit and I had an MRI of the shoulder like he suggested. I brought him the MRI results and he explained everything in detail. He recommended that I get a cortisone shot to try and ease my pain, because of the tares in my shoulder. He said to contact him at any time if I am not feeling well or need anything else. He is a very nice doctor. His nurse administered the shot and I didn’t feel any pain at all. All in all it was a very good office visit.

About Dr. Eric Price
Eric Price, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital, and finished a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Sports Clinic Orthopaedic Medical Associates. He takes care of all types of athletes, from peewee league players to pros and from weekend warriors to Ironman triathletes. He is committed to a hands-on approach to care, which includes a thorough examination, frequent checkups, and a comprehensive, easy-to-understand diagnosis explanation.
An athlete himself, Dr. Price has personal experience recovering from both injury and surgery and understands the need to get people back in their game. He treats a wide spectrum of orthopedic conditions, with an emphasis on shoulder and knee injuries, including tears of the rotator cuff, labrum, ACL, and meniscus. While most injuries can be treated without surgery, when surgery is required, he uses an arthroscopic small-incision technique so his patients can recover faster, with less pain and smaller scars.
Dr. Price was also an orthopedic surgeon for the Long Island Rough Riders semi-pro soccer team and the New York Titans lacrosse team and was on the medical staff of the 2011 Quiksilver New York Pro Surfing Contest. He has written frequently on how to prevent or recover from injuries for Eastern Surf Magazine, Long Island Tennis Magazine, and The Tennis Tribe.

Doctor's staff was very good. Leslie was exceptional. Dr. Price was clear and empathetic.
When I arrived I went to Physical Therapy entrance. I waited for 10 min.. Then the person recognized me and I said my appointment was for 11:00.It now was very close to 11:15 (I arrived at 11:05). I then waited on line (orthopedic entrance) about 25 min.
I was then told by staff that I was on the wrong side, I was supposed to be in physical therapy. I was frustrated at this point. Later, Dr. Price came in and discussed my condition.

Happy to get a last minute appointment for a knee issue before my insurance ran out. I book the appointment on ZocDoc because it was late the evening before and I didn't want to lose the last and only available appointment. I was contacted by oil and Cohen in the morning just to verify I was seeing the right doctor for the right issue. The tech who worked me up the X-ray technician and the PA were all very friendly knowledgeable and efficient as was Dr Price. Only time will tell whether or not the draining and the cortisone shot I got for my knee will work, but was happy to get a diagnosis and rule out anything more serious.

Dr. Price is wonderful and knowledgeable. He’s treated me for several minor sports injuries (bursitis, tendinitis) and not only explains the issue clearly, but also has good suggestions and advice on ways to manage/prevent them from reoccurring. I have been utilizing this provider for several years for gel injections in my knees, and have never been disappointed. The staff are top notch, always friendly, and knowledgeable. Other than wait times being a bit long, I have no complaints. The quality of individualized care has always been worth the wait, in my opinion. I am a retired RN, so, have a good understanding of the medical process, and appreciate professionalism.
