About Dr. Gregory C. Mallo
Gregory C. Mallo, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained shoulder specialist who has published and presented on a variety of shoulder-related orthopedic topics, including rotator cuff injury, total shoulder arthroplasty, and posterior shoulder pain. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Mallo completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital. He further refined his expertise through a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow at Harvard University, including participation in the prestigious Harvard Shoulder Fellowship Program in Boston, MA, and the Advanced Arthroscopy Traveling Fellowship Program with AANA.
Before joining Orlin & Cohen in 2019, Dr. Mallo was a shoulder specialist at St. Charles Hospital. He also previously treated active-duty Navy, Marine, and Special Forces personnel at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune and was deployed in Afghanistan in 2013 as part of a Forward Surgical Team.

The staff sent me emails and texts regarding my first time meeting with the doctor. No long wait time once I arrived at the office. I was met by the PA in the exam room and then the MD. Both the PA and Dr. Mallo reviewed my medical condition and Dr. Mallo provided me with my plan of care. I highly recommend Dr. Mallo for Orthopedic Care.

Dr, Gregory Mallo is a great shoulder doctor! He is patient, kind, and a good listener. Dr. Mallo ordered an X-ray of my left shoulder. He then showed me the X-ray and explained several possibilities for the cause of the pain, the steps to be taken and the procedure he was going to use that day. Dr. Mallo was very gentle with the injection into the back of my shoulder....I didn't even feel the needle!!! Yes, I will be seeing Dr. Gregory Mallo again.

Dr Mallo and his PA Danny could not have been more welcoming, courteous, and professional. Questions and on the spot testing of function were exactly what I was hoping we would get to. X-rays done quickly and friendly. Doctor is a great listener and knew what treatment I was hoping to get today. Injections were almost painless even though I know they use a huge needle. Doctor also layed out for me the treatments available should today’s shots not achieve the results level I expected. All in all a terrific medical experience. Will be happy to recommend.
