Joseph D. Munn, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip, knee, and spine treatment at Orlin & Cohen. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Munn completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Before joining us in 2021, he completed a fellowship in arthroplasty, focusing on computer-navigated and tourniquetless knee replacements as well as direct anterior total hip replacements at the Colorado Orthopedic Research Institute in Lone Tree, CO. Dr Munn is very pleasant and patient. He listened carefully to my history and complaints. He understood my concerns and gave reasons for his recommendations.
His PA on the other hand was not as pleasant and did not respect my questions as an accomplished medical professional. She dismissed my concerns and was not compassionate or caring.
She answered curtly and rudely when asked about the procedure ( injection) she was performing, while mentoring an intern, who witnessed the wrong way to address and treat a patient.

Dr Munn was professional and friendly. He was to prescribe a medication for me, however it was never sent to the pharmacy. I called and left messages on the Pharmacy phone line on 3 straight days and got no response and no medicine. Not good.

The front staff could be more pleasant. Biggest disappointment was the doctor was to recommend a prescription today and nothing was called in to the pharmacy. Office closes at 5:00 and I started calling the department at 4:00 in hopes someone will respond. Left a voicemail message as well as sending a chat but nothing happened.

This was my first experience with zodiac I was uncomfortable due to some knee pain I was impressed from intake to X-ray to nurses and P As and finally Dr Munn He was friendly made me feel comfortable He examined my knee and explained his diagnosis he prescribed an antibiotic and that he wanted to see me for a followup in 2 weeks
The only negative experience was filling out the history form I strongly resent taking the time and effort to fill out and read the nonsense abut what pronouns you wish to be identified with
