About Dr. Brian N. Morelli
Brian N. Morelli, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained spine specialist who earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center and his fellowship in spine surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center’s Spine Institute of New York. Dr. Morelli has written, researched, and presented on a variety of orthopedic topics, including low-level fall spinal fractures in older patients, a review of Cauda Equina Syndrome, spinal implants, and recovery outcomes of obese versus non-obese patients. Before joining Orlin & Cohen, he was an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery in the department of general orthopedics and spine surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center in Stony Brook, NY.

The doctor set up an x-ray for me and told me to arrange for an MRI at this office which we could discuss at a later date. The problem is he did not offer an immediate solution for the severe pain I was experiencing.

Dr Morelli is an excellent diagnostician. He will start off conservatively and only move towards surgical solutions when necessary. He will also take the time to listen to your concerns and work with you to find a solution. I highly recommend Dr Morelli as an orthopedic spine surgeon.

Dr.Morelli was very clear on his explanation of what was causing my pain and a plan to ease the pain. The wait to see him was a little longer than I expected however, his time spent explaining my condition made me understand the reason for it. He will be the first Doctor I recommend for someone for back issues.

My experience with the doctor was great. However, the office staff were not educated on my insurance, and the process required for an MRI that was stat. ? They provided me with incorrect information having me going back-and-forth. ? When I walked back into the office after speaking to ?? somebody at ZP ? about the process for my MRI the lady behind the counter, gave me a look like “she’s back” I was in severe pain, so I may have not been the most pleasant but I would’ve thought she would’ve been more understanding.

He makes a judgement from a few sentences instead of actually listening and trying to help with someone's pain. I would not see him again and frankly, it was a waste of my time seeing him at all.
