About Dr. John Feder
The first fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist on Long Island, John Feder, M.D., is board certified and specializes in sports medicine, trauma, and degenerative and congenital conditions of the foot and ankle. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and completed an internship in General Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Feder then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Montefiore Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center and Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Feder is chief of our foot and ankle division.

Front office staff were cordial. Assistant who questioned me about the reason for my visit was nice and professional. X ray tech nice. I waited about 15 minutes post X ray to see the doctor. He explained my situation clearly. Dr. Feder operated on my other foot in the past and the result was good. He is very pleasant.

The dr certainly seems experienced and knowledgeable. I just didn’t feel any real understanding of how much I struggle with my ankle and foot. He seemed to take it very lightly which didn’t give me a feeling of care if I were to get a surgical procedure. Not sure if I would go back.

I booked on line an appointment was for and the first available appointment was in Lynbrook. When I got there was told Dr Feder was at Merrick on Tuesday which was a lot closer for me to begin with. I’m on crutches and this was a major inconvenience. They took me when I arrived at Merrick. Everyone was great helpful and nice but your website sucks.
