About Dr. Mark Gibel

Dr. Mark Gibel, PT, DPT is a physical therapist with a passion for providing high-quality, individualized care to his patients. Mark earned a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University before completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UT Southwestern. He is currently completing an orthopedic residency program through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration to further his clinical expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation. Mark's clinical experience has allowed him to work with athletes and active individuals across a wide range of sports and competition levels- from high school athletes to Olympians. His personal athletic background in baseball and swimming has led Mark to develop an interest in the rehabilitation of overhead athletes and shoulder injuries as well as common knee injuries including ACL reconstruction. This experience has helped Mark appreciate the physical, mental, and emotional impact injuries can have on athletes and he integrates these aspects into a holistic, patient-centered rehabilitation program, ensuring the patient feels heard. Mark integrates strength and conditioning principles within rehabilitation and prioritizes patient education, empowering patients to actively take control of their recovery. His goal is to help patients return to the activities they love, stronger and more resilient than before. Outside of the clinic, Mark enjoys working out, working on his golf game, hanging out with friends, and traveling the world.

Dr. Mark was great. I came in for shoulder pain & with his treatment felt the same day. His examination was very thorough & he has great bedside manner. Overall, would highly recommend him if you're having any aches & pains or need any physical therapy services.
I enjoyed Mark, he is very intuitive & listened to all my needs. He engaged in helpful conversation that got my treatment plan on track. I am finally seeing real results that I have never experienced.
I was not sure what to expect when I went to my appointment. Mark put me at ease right away. He really listened to my concerns, was patient and made sure I knew how to do my “home exercises” correctly before I left the office. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone that needs a Physical Therapist!
Mark was very helpful and insightful of what could have been bothering my knee. He ended up determining that my patella wasn’t functioning the right way due to a previous injury but I highly recommend since he gives proper advice and tells you what was happening that caused the injury.
