About Dr. Ashley Rosa Weissman
Dr. Ashley Rosa Weissman was born in New York but relocated to Boca Raton with her family where she grew up. She attended the University of Miami and received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Sociology and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then remained in South Florida and attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Between her third and fourth years of medical school she completed a one-year Translational Science Research Fellowship in cutaneous wound healing with the University of Miami Dermatology Department. After receiving her medical degree Dr. Weissman completed her intern year at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale as part of the University of Miami Internal Medicine Program. She then went to Austin, Texas for her dermatology residency training at the University of Texas Dell Medical School, where she was chosen to serve as chief resident in her final year. She is now happy to be back home in South Florida with her family. Dr. Weissman has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has presented at several national meetings. She was also awarded a Women’s Dermatologic Society mentorship which she completed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston focused on the diagnosis and management of connective tissue disorders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
