Dr. Navjoth Karuvannur (Dr. K) is a Psychiatrist in Ohio who has been practicing since 2018. He is board certified through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Karuvannur has passion for medical education and had a significant role in educating medical students, residents, and fellows. He has won various awards for his academic accomplishments. He has lectured on various topics including but not limited to pediatric psychosis, eating disorders, mood disorders, attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), psychopharmacology, and neuropsychiatry. Dr. Karuvannur enjoys working with all age groups from children to older adults but takes particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, disruptive behavioral disorders, and attention-deficit disorders. He recognizes that exposure to trauma in early childhood and adolescent years can manifest in dysfunction as adults. Therefore, he aims to take a holistic approach to patient care and highly emphasizes self-care and family input when formulating treatment plans. Additionally, he takes particular interest in nutrition and exercise and the positive effects that they have on mental health.
In his spare time, Dr. K enjoys snowboarding, world travel, hiking, weightlifting, and cooking.
