Sage Darling is a pre-licensed provider working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
As a naturally existential person, I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories. I've learned that everyone deserves to feel loved, accepted, and a true sense of belonging. As a queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent, and disabled person, my own therapeutic journey inspires me to support others in finding healing and building a home within themselves. I believe we all experience traumas, big and small, that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. My goal is to help my clients explore their experiences, challenge internalized oppressive narratives, befriend their nervous systems, and find meaning in their stories to live more embodied, authentic lives.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I work with adults and couples who are seeking a supportive space. I’m passionate about holding space for the complex emotions that can arise from childhood and relational trauma, gender and sexual identity, disability and chronic illness, grief, and relationship challenges. I strive to create an affirming environment for exploring gender, kink, ethical non-monogamy, and polyamory, helping clients center pleasure and move toward liberation. In my work with couples, I support partners in building deeper connection by improving communication, releasing stuck patterns, and fostering radical vulnerability. Whatever you're navigating, my goal is to help you explore your inner world, strengthen your intuition, and grow in self-compassion and acceptance.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
You are the expert of your own life, and it’s an honor to walk alongside you on your healing journey. Together, we’ll explore your story, clarify your goals, challenge internalized oppression, and make space for the many unique parts that shape your authentic self. I approach our work with curiosity, empathy, and acceptance, while also welcoming humor as part of the process. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing. I draw from a range of modalities based on your needs, including Adlerian and Attachment theories, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal theory, Feminist theory, Gestalt, and Somatic practices. I’m also committed to unlearning the harmful myths of white supremacy, acknowledging the impacts of colonization, and supporting collective liberation through my work.
