Dr. Bascom collaborates closely with parents and teachers to develop effective treatment strategies and supports parents in recognizing how best to help their children reach their full potential. He has also worked extensively with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma recovery. Dr. Bascom earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stanford University. He has taught graduate courses in child psychotherapy and ADHD at Antioch University and has lectured to numerous community groups on parenting topics such as self-esteem, discipline, sex education, adolescence, and the impact of media on children. He serves as an adjunct supervisor for the Psychology Assessment Center at UCSB. Before relocating to Santa Barbara, he was the clinical director of the Therapeutic School at the Julia Ann Singer Center and is a former president of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association.
