“Wonderful Doctor who knows his stuff. Great listener, perhaps to excess. He loves to talk. Problem is this backs I his sched. I arrive 10-15 min early but don’t get seen until 20 min past appointment time.. and then sit in the exam room ANOTHER 15 min before Doc W arrives. Don’t over-book your day. ?? ”

What a day! I went to Doctor in pain and I left the doctor in pain. However, after 5 years of being told there was no Spinal Stenosis in my back by Dr. Esmende, Dr. Whang and Yale Radiologist this doctor reported the MRI showed evidence of some degree visible! He further elaborated that I need a comprehensive facility that would address all my needs and my workers compensation issues. He also redirected me to other doctors that maybe able to handle my case. In addition, his medical assistant was exceptional and his staff was very professional as well as demonstrated stellar patient care. Thank you for your assistance! Tara E

Everything was done very professional !!

Attentive, Intelligent and easy to be around. The one thing I would recommend is a more prepared conversation with hospital pain management team and particular surgeons of patients to ensure post op care is more seemless in coverage.

I saw Dr. Wellisch for severe left thigh pain that I suffered for over 3 years, and he ended the pain with one injection. This was after years of treatment by other doctors who were treating me for sciatica (including acupuncture treatments) and vascular problems. I have never had a recurrence of that pain. A miracle and prayers answered -- and lucky, lucky me!
Verified patient
Dr Wellisch was very personable and thorough with his exam. I have a very complicated case with numerous surgeries and long standing chronic pain. I also refuse meds so he spent time discussing with me my alternate options for pain relief. When speaking with Dr Wellisch or the intake nurse I never felt rushed or pushed out of his office. He sat and listened to my situation, gathering all the pertinent information to assist me with the best results to reduce my pain.
