About Dr. Peter Saitta
Dr. Saitta received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University and his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his dermatology residency as chief resident in affiliation with Michigan State University, receiving national awards for leadership and academic excellence.
Dr. Saitta trained under the tutelage of a world-recognized expert in acne and served as clinical research director on several treatment studies for acne, developing the most cutting-edge technologies available for patients. He brings these secrets with him to the Skin Institute of New York.
Dr. Saitta is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, serves as a national committee member for the dermatology resident in-service examination, and is authored as a leader in contact dermatitis in the Yearbook of Dermatology. He will be joining the dermatology residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York.
Dr. Saitta is an internationally recognized lecturer on acne, hair loss, and the psychological stresses of skin disease. He has numerous publications on these topics, many of which are readily accessible on the Internet.
Dr. Saitta's practice encompasses treatment for both adult and pediatric patients. His special interests include hand, face, and scalp rashes, skin cancer screening and treatment, hair loss, and acne.
