About Dr. Tanya Kapoor-Maini

After earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Kapoor-Maini completed her residency in Neurology at Hofstra University, Northwell Health, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine. She then pursued a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she developed skills in EMG and a passion for epilepsy. Dr. Kapoor-Maini served as an attending neurologist at Ochsner Medical Center - Westbank and as Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. There, she was deeply involved in teaching epilepsy fellows EEG interpretation and up-to-date medication management. She is competent in and enjoys treating all aspects of neurology. Dr. Kapoor-Maini is very approachable, compassionate, and genuinely believes in treating each patient as a whole.
