Dr. Luke Kotin grew up in Central Texas and obtained a degree in molecular biology at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. He attended medical school at Texas Tech in El Paso, TX and developed a passion for primary care and lifestyle medicine while studying on the border and working with an underserved community. Dr. Kotin completed his family medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Round Rock, TX. Dr. Kotin loves music performance and composition and has played in several bands and records music at home in his spare time. He also loves to cook and is especially passionate about Italian and Indian cuisine. Dr. Kotin loves animals and has a cat named Ruby who he loves dearly.

Very empathetic and knowledgeable doctor, I just had a lot of issues and couldn’t get to them all! Unfortunately, a lot of mental health patients are often stigmatized in healthcare, and I didn’t feel stigmatized by Dr. Kotin at all, in fact he guided me through a panic attack. I only wish our appointment was longer so I could’ve calmed down and addressed my various other needs. He ordered the tests I asked for and gave me good advice. Great doctor.

Deeply disappointing experience. I waited two weeks for this appointment and was required to pay upfront, only to receive rushed, impersonal care. I came prepared to discuss important health concerns and recent lifestyle changes, but the doctor showed little interest in listening or understanding my medical history. The visit lasted less than five minutes. Instead of having a thoughtful conversation about possible solutions, he interrupted frequently and seemed focused solely on prescribing medication.
Healthcare professionals should be held accountable to the standards of their profession. Patients come seeking guidance from experts, not transactional service that feels more like a fast-food drive-through—“What do you want? Here’s your order. Next.” I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and disappointed.

Seems like a nice guy but very rushed and didn't spend very much time. I was a new patient and came to him with my records and a summary of my concerns and he didn't really seem to be listening through the process. Overall a responsive guy overall it's just felt very rushed.

The office canceled the same day, an hour before my appointment, and instead of working to get me in for an alternate time slot that week, I was told that the next available appointment was 3+ weeks away. I will be finding a doctor that respect my time as much as I respect theirs.

Dr Kotin focuses on preventative medicine for his patients. During my visit he heavily encouraged preventative treatments and lifestyle changes to reduce improve my health. Instead of treating the symptoms of my issues, he wants to treat the root causes.

Ratio of wait time to time with the nurse/doctor was 3:1. Got there 15 min early for a 4pm appointment to fill out paperwork as recommended but paperwork wasn’t ready. Waited 25ish minutes for person at the front desk to give me paperwork. Filled it out but still hadn’t seen doc by 4:25. Asked front desk about wait time and she said it was because they were waiting for me to fill out my paperwork (that they gave me 20 minutes after I arrived LOL). Finally saw nurse/doc for a total of like 15 minutes where they took vitals and rushed through a few questions.

I just moved here from Florida and chose a doctor at random. This was so lucky! The office staff was nice. I don't have insurance and the visit was affordable. There's an amazing fish and coral tank in the waiting room. And they have labs and an attached compounding pharmacy in the same building! I got my meds in 15 minutes after the appointment.

Dr has a great bedside manner. He's quirky but very polite and seemed to care if I had all of my issues addressed. They missed my appointment and I showed up 30 minutes ahead of time so I waited a very long time since I wasn't called back until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Don't show up early lol.

Doctor Kotin was a great listener and very knowledgeable, immediately helped me find the root of my problem, no waiting for results, they called me the very next day to discuss my results and almost immedialy , helped me get the medication I needed at the best rate possible.
