I had a great experience at Wellstar. The staff was very friendly and helped me navigate the facility as it was my first time there. Shirley was very friendly and funny. Dr. Cox listened to my concerns and gave me very clear advice and recommendations - I highly recommend him for anyone needing a primary care doctor.

I went for an annual physical and to review some symptoms. Dr. Cox is very patient, understanding and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone. The wait times across the board were exceptionally fast today.

Went in as a first time patient and as part of my annual checkup. He went through the standard questions like family history, allergies, dizziness, etc. I answer them all. When asked, I mentioned dizziness, but it was probably due to my current diet and if I stood up too quickly. At then end, he asked if there were other concerns. I mentioned I was diagnosed with a lipoma and asked if these could get bigger or smaller with weight loss. He said he'd refer me to another specialist.
I received a note that I would have to pay Dr. Cox separately. I inquired with insurance bc I thought this was covered under the annual visit. They informed me I was charged 2 separate office visits! 1 for the annual visit and 2nd bc I asked about dizziness. I was told I had to call the Dr office directly. Long story short, the Dr. office replied saying bc I "asked" about the dizziness, lipoma, and allergies, it was considered as 2 separate bills. The man didn't diagnose anything! Totally unheard of!

A good first physical that I had in maybe 21 years. Dr.Cox had the patient terminal open so I could see what he and the Nurse were putting in. Just remember you have the power to say no to test and orders if you don't want extra blood work or test. Yet be open and don't hold back on your history.
Also the clinic for blood test in one floor down super convent and quick.
